People say it's an overpay to let go of four unprotected pics and one which is even ours technically and belongs to the Bucks. Think of it this way, because of how good the Knicks will be, those pics are going to translate in the mid to late 20s. What exactly are we missing out on with those pics. And then the amount that we're paying OG is the going rate now. If you really think about it, if we retained RJ and IQ, we would have been paying them more than 42 million combined. And we see the proof is in the pudding with a player like OG on our team. The Knicks are thinking championship, while others are thinking about draft picks and money 🤦🏾 chest people not checkers

Knicks are in it to win it all NOW, and so an overpay makes sense. They have a crazy deep team - JB, Bridges, OG, Randle, I-Hart or Mitch is a great starting 5, off the bench Hart, Donte, Miles, (would love them to bring back Precious). Center situation has become the most crucial but also, they need a back PG

Y’all are too worried about Hartenstein. A lot people don’t realize this quintessential fact about Thibs, is that in Thibs system bigs always look better. Just like in Mike Dantoni’s system PG’s look better. Think about all the bigs over the years in Thibs system. Joakim Noah, Nerlins Noel, Mitchell Robinson, now Isaiah Hartenstein. If he leaves it will most likely be in a sign and trade. If Orlando wants him we sign and trade for Mo Wagner or Johnathan Issac. Or they go after James Wiseman, Or the Knicks could go above the second apron for Hartenstein. Right now they only have 10M for him. I seriously doubt they trade Mitchell Robinson. Not too many players can lock up elite bigs like Mitch can. He was putting the clamps on Embiid until Embiid intentionally injured him. They most likely resign Precious and sign and trade I-Hart or they could go over the second apron to resign I-Hart if they think he’s that important going forward. I really like him but I don’t think he is irreplaceable. Maybe his passing as a big. But everything is definitely replaceable. This is why I didn’t like OG being so greedy but hey you can’t tell a man how to go about getting his money.

Just Boston... next closest is maybe a healthy 76ers assuming they improve greatly from Tobias ... Bucks are a tier below those teams now even when healthy - their *only* starter not actively going downhill is Giannis - and their bench is not even near as good as NY, chemistry still suspect ...

Hartenstein would have to strongly consider both okc and Orlando. Both states do not have state income tax which is a bonus in and of itself. Your millions go farther in either state…

We have to trade Mitch in order for us to resign IHart, there's no way around it. And we cannot hit the second apron because of the trade with the nets. It won't allow us to do so because we are hard capped. So Mitch with me to be traded
