Glad I went with the 124017 V2 for my son and I! Seems like such a good bang for your buck. Cannot wait for them to show up.

124017 v2 on 3s is absurd and I love it.

I put a $50 brushless motor, 18 amp esc and a 15t pinion gear on a 54t gear in my Latrax Teton and it goes about that fast on 2s. I'm looking for a new car, just to have one when the Teton is down. I think I'm gonna go with the wltoys 124016 V2. Hopefully the aftermarket parts availability gets better since wltoys is becoming very popular. From what I hear, there is no cogging or delay on the V2.

You should do a speed run a week after playing with it give it time to break in...itnwill Def be faster once it breaks in

That delay is in that car radio, not in the controller on the 144010 model

I love my wltoys but this model the links seem to pop loose even easier than the other models, yes it's better to pop off than break but they pop off way too easily it should take more force to pop them on or off.

If you want a 1/10 Wltoys just get the brushed one , sell the electronics ( or use them in something else ) and upgrade yourself , it will cost you the same but it will be a much better car .

@@Broxty i have a 124018 and a friend got a 124017 , he also changed the electronics since the stock ones are bad.

Seems like the esc is the delay problem

I have the brushed version and the steering / front turnbuckle thingies keep popping off. Pain in the butt. I think the truck is too heavy to keep with the same design as and the WLToys 1/14 & 1/12. Looks like it happened for the first time at 7:10 :( Ordered some metal upgrade ones, so I'll probably "bend" something else instead now.

It is a bit annoying I spent a good ten minutes trying to find one.😂 Your quite right though there are a few bits that aren’t really big/strong enough.

I watched a video the other day and the guy solved the delay completely by turning the controller on with the trigger pulled a few mm. Which makes me think these transmitters are not calibrated to the ESC, the reciever an transmitter is thrown in switched on the car goes backwards an forwards they throw it in the box an sell it. Reset the throttle reverse neutral positions and see what happens.

I would go for the 124017 it’s the best for parts availability etc. I did a video the other day with my thoughts on all of them if you haven’t watched it yet. Any of them will be fine though there all great.

Hi there sorry for the late reply. Long week at work. I'd go for the 124017 as it doesn't have the delay. The 144002 is my favourite as I like the 1\14 th size but with the delay in the new controllers I'd get the 017 it's also easier to get battery's electrics,etc in if you need to change them out as it's a bit bigger.

It’s a bigger version but as to why it’s so much more I’m not too sure.

I like the looks of it but it doesn't look as lively as my 144010 to be fair.

No it’s not as lively I’m a bit biased though I love my 144010. Hopefully a 3s battery and some tyres with a bit of grip might help.

@@noobrccars4392 not sure how a 45A ESC would handle a 3S battery on a 3650 4500 kv motor ( this motor is rated at something like 80-90A ) .

Im so disappointed, i really had high hopes after having 1/10 from teenage years. Fast foward 30 + years & sadly its all nothing but a joke from here... cannot get any battery of any kind from any banggood warehouse, not CN, Aus, Can, Usa... not from amazon, or alliexpress, no wonder rc is dead here, unless ur that 1%. Nearly got a hyper go from raving reviews but more research into parts, spares etc soon showed the absolute inability to get any battery of any kind. R.I.P. RC U'll be sadly missed, but fondly remembered...

This car can't run on track . Just wasting money why not purchase hsp xstr or xstr pro. It's much more better than this .
