I have a sonic Bronco bass that I just did a fret dress to (Ohio in winter with the heat blasting is way drier than Indonesia). It took very little to take care of the sprouted frets and while I was at it I did a fret level which only required a tiny bit of effort and now with it set up it’s just staggering how well it plays! I’m glad to see the Precision of the series is also impressive.

Sounds amazing, especially with the entwistle sound, was looking at the sunburst version

I agree, I just bought one, a special run in surf green. I have a Fender Vintera 50s and a classic vibe 60s-this bass is a great instrument for any player.

I recently bought one of the 40th anniversary ones that cool blonde color with the gold anodized guard. It is absolutely stellar and that’s me comparing it to a bunch of my vintage fenders going back to my original 1958-P. Straight out of the box the thing sounded amazing. I decided to go one better because I’m endorsed by Seymour Duncan, so I put a Steve Harris PickUp in it. And a Puretone output jack. but I could’ve easily just lived with it completely stock and went on tour with it. It’s that good.

I got my Squier P bass for less than 200 bucks just for the cool lime green body color and thought to need it to heavily mod it first before I call it an instrument. But it was quite good out of the box with no real need for any changes.

After hearing this video, I decided to go to the local music store and try one out. Wow!!! This is a great bass!!! I would gig with this and take it on the road. It’s light, the neck is fantastic, and the pickups blew me away. I was going to put the geezer Emg’s but I don’t even want to now. Amazing bass grab it now!

Wow Scott you weren't kidding about the tone! I've been shopping around for a bass after the *absolute* disaster of a warped neck microphonic FSO (gonna steal that from now on) that I got to start on that is basically unplayable past the third fret (literally an inch off the neck past the third fret).

I've been playing my beloved Warwick Corvette since I bought it in 1995 - just ordered one of these because I just got to have a P-bass and this is a ton of bang for the buck

I bought a lime green Squier P bass and it's quality is without any issues. I expected far less but got a functional instrument for less than 200 bucks.

Sounds great! Just one question tho... does it suffer from a neck dive?

I have the Squier Affinity p-bass, which has a slightly heavier neck than the Sonic, and there's no significant neck dive. Could always fit a higher mass bridge to move the point of balance further down the body.

I just bought a sunburst one and it's the best decision I've ever made. Sure, I'll be upgrading stuff but these basses are solid. It needed a setup but I do all my onward it was really only the neck and saddle height. The intonation was near perfect too! The two tone sunburst is gorgeous. I bought a set of rotosounds to put on it soon.

The neck of mine is fantastic too. No sharp frets, nice dressing, nice satin finish. No dings no dongs. Don't know if I was just lucky or if they have a working quality control unlike Gibson. But jokes aside. I love my Squier although it is a cheapo.
