This lens is fantastic! I did notice a little vignetting when stacking a step up ring, diffusion and a variable ND, but that was the same as the 16-28. Also price is $599! What do you all think of the lens?

Thanks dude! I mean I love s35 mode on the FP, I generally have no complaints, especially for ultra wide.

For Sigma FP l, which one would you recommend 17mm f4 DG (full frame) or this 10-18mm f2.8 DC (Aps-c) for landscape, travel? Mostly still.

This would be a great focal length for street and city shooting

RIGHT?! Even with owning only FF cameras, this is the one i would take with me for wide angle content

Nice review. I've been wanting to replace my heavy Tokina 11-16mm and Rokinon 14mm lenses. Just curious, did you test coverage on FF? Is there any part of the 10-18mm range that covers the FP sensor?

It’s an APSC crop, so it won’t fit the entire full frame sensor. There will be vignette in the corners.

Crop is way to go on sigma! 4k 1:1 crop is much better than downsampled 6k.

Did anyone test the lens with the ND filter for video? Is it vignetting at the wide end? Thanks!

I double stacked a black pro mist, VND and step up ring, it was minimal if no vignetting

Hey Anson, how does this lens fair on the S5iiX? Would i need to shoot only in APS mode or could i get away with a slight crop-in from using it in FF mode.

I shot APSC, but I did notice that you get a usable image around 15mm if you use c4k. It will be a little dark in the corners

S5 ii in APSC mode is great : better rolling shutter, 4k50, better AF... Sigma 10-18 ; 18-50 + DJI mini is a dream combo if you want to be compact.

Good questions: I noticed vignetting only when I was rolling with both diffusion, variable ND and a step up ring. Otherwise, it was good. And price is $599

I just bought the sony 11mm, now I'm undecided if I should return it and buy this sigma. What do you think for landscape and real estate?

With canon discontinueing EF, I think it will be unlikely AF lenses will come out for it anytime soon Cine lenses maybe, but maybe not photo lenses

Just sold my S1H! Fx30 and this tiny little lens just might be the way to go! Feeling inspired to open my wallet lol!

If I’m honest, I’ve always enjoyed Caleb’s non bro, non yelling at you approach. BUT it’s also do to figuring out the projection level that I need to have for my un treated studio and lav mic, to not have a ton of tinny wet audio. Trying to have a little personality and inflection than Caleb, but somewhere around his projection level. Work in progress

$600 but it's NOT a Art lens? The 18-35 1.8 Art is $600 and it's 10 years old.

@@Ansonandco I own the 85 1.4 and 35 1.4 DG DN for Sony mount as well as the 18-35 1.8 and 50-100 1.8 Nikon mount. All Art series and they are very very good especially my 85. I just wouldn't spend that on a (C)ontemporary lens when the Art lens are a few hundred more.

@@TimCurry04 for sure! I think that’s the beauty of the options from SIGMA. If you want something ultra compact, boom you got this lens. But if you want performance and can adapt BOOM you got it. I am kinda on the same mind set, I only look at contemporary of I want a smaller lens, because typically they have VERY similar performance to their art. They just may be slower and not have bells and whistles. I personally have a hard time justifying anything beyond the 24-70 and my cine set, so I understand

Are you filming talking head with an F4 lens? image is so dark
