    reminds me of GDQ where there's always the "couch" or at at least almost always there to explain the run. and it's personally my favorite part of GDQ, I wish more runners would react and explain runs from the games they run.

  • @hitlord

    @hitlord

    @@spl-o6e Yeah, run explaining is usually a good thing. I mean, I never found it particularly necessary for RE3 (all you truly need to know is that the game is RNG based), as most questions a person that won't run the game can have could be answered with "because it's faster", but I get how some people would rather know the particularities of why getting powders as soon as you reach clock tower is better than later. But there are some games out there, particularly runs that rely almost entirely on glitches (which is made even worse by the runners having hand shake agreements on what constitutes a glitch or doesn't), in which an explainer is a good thing.

    I love picking up EVERYTHING and getting as much stuff as I can. I like consolidating items that are beneficial. I also like figuring out how use said items to their most beneficial uses possible. You should of seen me trying to figure out the best gems to put in the treasures in RE4R! ok, I translate, during the video he commented mostly on the sounds of the zombies in different parts of the game, at the end he calls his mom, tells her that "he spent years playing the damn game and now it's the best in the world", she kisses him and says, "yes son, for me you are the best in the world", an emotional moment because his family supports matt 100%, greetings bawk from buenos aires argentina, POR FIN= FINALLY../ VAMOS PERRITO = COME ON DOGGY...is a phrase that matt uses a lot in his live shows...

    i'm definetely grateful for bawk explaining all the speedrun. If i watch the RE3 speedrun record without an explaining honestly i wouldn't understand much since RE3 speedrunning is really complex

  • @LunalovaniaGaming

    @LunalovaniaGaming

    11 ай бұрын

    It's complex because of the RNG in the game. RNG means random number generator. It's coded in a way where events can happen at random. So for example, if you are fighting an enemy, and the enemy code is programmed to have 4 attacks at certain times, one after the other, now stick an RNG code into the enemy, now instead of those 4 attacks being in sequence one after the other, they are random now. So you could get a punch, a bite, a throw, or a 1 hit kill the moment you encounter the enemy, as opposed to preset attacks that happen when the enemy code is set to repeat from the first attack to the last. I hope I explained it well. I am a video game coder so I know a thing or two about programming games, but I don't do speedruns because 1, I don't have the patience, and 2, I have a compulsive need of getting and killing everything in a video game. 😂✌️🤝

    @@LunalovaniaGaming ty for your answer and the way you explained how it works the RNG in RE3 it's pretty much everywhere there's why it is impossible to do a "perfect run" as bawk said

  • @LunalovaniaGaming

    @LunalovaniaGaming

    11 ай бұрын

    @samcuscito1933 you're welcome. Yeah, that's why when bawk says, if you ever come across a speedrun of RE3 that claims its a "perfect speedrun", it's most likely fake because it really is next to impossible to have perfect RNG on one run in RE3. There's too much random stuff in the game that can happen. The chances of actually getting a perfect RE3 speedrun are 1 and a trillion, maybe even more.

    Hey Bawk! Love to see more of these reaction type videos. Really loved it! I'll leave down below some timestamps if you guys are interested to know what Matt is saying (random viewer from Argentina here): 00:00 - 6:58 Talking about weird noices that athletes do when they get tired 7:11 - 7:22 Mentions whenever you talk about something about the game it feels like "it knows" and later will troll you in some random situation (e.g. zombies turbo) that's why he doesn't comment on what he's actually doing, or tries not to 9:00 - 11:00 Talks about when he changed versions (from Taiwanese to Chinese) and he thought the Ch one was "cursed" (too much bad RNG) 11:26 "Liberan el fua" funny video about a guy whos really drunk screaming like crazy and making weird noices (related again with the first topic on tennis players screaming) 13:11 Gets sad because of bad RNG 14:34 Reads a comment from a viewer saying some song reminds him of Goku vs Broly and goes to check it out 15:08 - 17:53 Mostly getting frustrated about bad RNG 17:54 - 18:54 Reading viewers comments 19:23 - 19:37 Just translating the "Out of my way!" quote from Nikolai. "Pancho" literally means "hotdog" in spanish, but in this context is more like "out of my way, bozo!" 22:58 Talking about how much better is RE3 for PC than other consoles 23:37 Responding a comment on how he's doing on this run (pretty much what everything Bawks poiints out that went wrong and such) 27:06 LOL

    As someone who is slowly getting into speed running (I've submitted one run of OG Re1) and wanting to run games like Dino Crisis and the Og RE's, RE3 is one game I would never ever attempt. Not only are there so many technical aspects to wrap your head around, with door timings for each door, DiC etc, but then you layer on the masses and masses of RNG... it's wild Because even if you get the best RNG in the world, if you don't have the skills and practice to keep the run together and do the right lines, the right reactions, and the right inputs, you still ain't getting anywhere near record. It requires a crazy combo of both VAMOS

    I appreciate you calling out the RNG that he got to show to bungholes that it's not being manipulated. So many people call out speedruns without evidence for manipulated runs, and it's annoying when it's unfounded.

    It's so bizare that there is only two rooms with the best creatures in franchise and they are unavailable in Biorand. I wonder why frogs crash the game if placed improperly?
