@@OptrelUS The field of vision, and quick change to clear grinding lens would be what I like about it, I do a lot of grinding for weld prep and that looks far quicker and better than grind mode at shade 4.
Agreed I know what my 2nd hood will be have the CLT now n love it! If you guys need some testers I would be more then happy to use it n give feed back
man you did it again optrel i have had a panoramaxx clt for a few months now and your products are the MOST convenient for welders. im looking to weld galv or stainless and this would be perfect. PLEASE PLEASE make one of those hoods with your heat resistant paint i love that on my panoramaxx!

Wow. I've been waiting to invest in a new helmet for years. I knew someone would show up with a fix for every problem most people in manufacturing face, specifically welding. No surprise that Optrel ends up being the first with a real all-in-one solution. Can't wait for this.

Fantastic, just perfect.
I just got my helix clt This thing is awesome!
I have the Optrel 2.5. It has its quirks..and the grind function led quit working.. also wish it had a golve sized switch to operate...same with the 684e.. I purchased them because they are so light weight.. but switchs are delicate. I was looking to purchase a Helix PAPR, but the cost is so expensive I need to find a store that sells them to see how it will fit? I'm not willing to pay a restocking fee if there are issues. Also, it looks like there are many different headgear options.. I'll wait for more reviews in a year or so.
I'm Liam Logan from a pervious comment and my panoramaxx clt broke (lens cracked) so it gives me a perfect excuse to exchange it for the Helix Quattro! You guys always pull through.

Bought three from Rockmount. Bad a## versatile hood. I have beaten the crap out of this hood. Let's just say if I ever forgot it...I would wait by the mailbox before I made another weld. Thanks Optrel and Rockmount!
Does the helmet can be adjust for torch cutting?
The helix is top of my list, I'm done with speedglas.
damn, had this idea for forever, just about to get into fiberglass molding for a custom shell before I thought to consider someone had already designed something similar.

Just got the helmet and have been using it for a week, I love it, surprisingly light, love the headgear, only thing is that it’s a little big, makes my head look huge lol
Use nothing but Optrels, Just ordered a Quattro based on straight brand faith. Can you please do a up close video on this while I wait on shipping????

I love Optrel, and may get the newest filtration system, finances willing. But what of stickers for my truck?! Word of mouth is a great advertiser, and I need a Optrel sticker or two for the back window of my truck. Do you have such things? I would also buy your shirts, but with animal fur around I kinda need a shirt that's yellow, orange, or light blue. Thank You

We have optrel stickers but they can fit in the palm of your hand. Not sure it'll stand out on your truck! 😶

the lenses will scratch with a feather. why not use glass?

Muckfoot, glass would be too expensive, too heavy and would still scratch.
not bad, one shield glass vs 3m, but eyes not shield

Mig welding 1/2-3/4" I beams? If it's a sculpture yeah, but better not be structural.
This optrel design is such a terrible idea compare to the 3m g5-01. I just noticed the front transparent glass will always be there in the front and it will get dirty quick from welding. Using it as a visor face shield is just going to be hard to see through after a few weeks due to dirt from welding. Bad idea optel! Go back to drawing board please. Try something like 3m g5-01 unless they patented it. 😮 Optrel I've known you guys was going to make a new welding helmet that would compete with the g5-01 for 2 years but now I'm quite disappointed.

Have you tried the Helix yet? The feedback has been phenomenal. One of the advantages of our design is you're only replacing one lens, not two. The overall design was based on welders' feedback and their desire to have a lightweight, flip-up hood that can be used in tight spaces. The internal flip-up design allows for this, with 35-40% less neck strain than traditional flip-up hoods.
Is this designed so you dont have to wear safety glasses??????

The Helix is designed for full protection and versatility. With the slide-up technology, you can switch from ADF to a clear lens for grinding/cutting. In the U.S., the need for safety glasses is typically determined by OSHA and/or the company you work for.

This helmet sucks. Headgear won't stay up and trying to use a cutting torch is a nightmare. Shade won't stay and it's too dark, even if you adjust the shade tronic. Also it's not long enough to keep your neck from getting burned. DO NOT BUY! 32YRS EXPERIENCE.
Can I use the miller half face mask p100 under thia helmet??

Yes but you may have to telescope the headgear back a notch or two.
