to be able to make our own sounds is CRAZY THAT OPENS THE DOOR to so much sound designers to come up with much more instruments for the MPC and the keyboard Akai is about to take over telling you such a great time to be alive!!!

We get updates because Akai screwed up the MP3 drag and drop and I had to go back to 2.11.4 lol…I’m scared to do an update now…I just need akai to improve song mode!

Ill wait for price to go down in a month or two. I jumped on the MPC Instrument Collection for $500 the same day it came out- now its $350. TBH, I havent used any of them except OPx4...so I can wait for a RC20 clone and a Monarch clone til another date. IDK about updating either. I went up to 2.11.5 and it broke mp3 previews,etc so I downgraded back to the stable 2.11.4. Now they have 2.11.6 and people already saying a bunch of stuff broke. I'll wait...for now. Great video though Poli Popo-as usual.
Bro could you please do another video detailing the step sequencer for drums and automations? From a self admittedly poor, non ambidextrous finger drummer 😭 theres not many other vids on this and i enjoyed your last session. Respect

Check your account. I downloaded the manuals for software and hardware 2.11.6 today and release notes. If I'm not mistaken it might be the old links still- but new downloads when you press on them.

I was in the same place some years back. Things'll fall into place little by little. Whenever frustration gets to a boiling point, shut'r down, walk away and live to see another day. Tubes like this one, Tubedigga, Marlow Digs as well as many others I can list will be a big help navigating through the MPC's ecosystem.
Just started peeping your videos and really appreciate the shared knowledge. I have an mpc2000xl but im a dinosaur, havent made music in over 10-15 years. Im pretty sure im gonna get the mpclive2 and a small midi keyboard for it. Seems like i can do everything i need like that. I sample but want to use a lot of plugins, filters, eq, etc. So, my question is, can i do it all without a laptop or computer, i just have a phone, lol. I dont see why i couldnt just download something like that miniD on my phone and dump it to the mpc via bluetooth?

I started on the xl and the live will make you feel right at home 💯 and I’ve seen plenty of phones and tablets hooked up to this but not Bluetooth, but I’m sure in an update or two.

Hi Poli. Have you had issues using an audio interface with the new update or past updates? I was hoping the new update would fix this. I bought the scarlette 4i4 with the MPC one recently, and have never been able to use the two together without audio dropouts every few seconds. Any idea if this will ever get fixed in an update? or is it something to do with the audio interface itself? Hard to find recent info on this. Thanks for your videos! ive been watching them all!

Update has a bunch of unwanted noise issues when using tascam as usb interface. (Downloaded flavour pro and mini d - both are dope af).

I raised a ticket with Akai a couple of weeks ago. They fixed the issue in 2.11.7 released today.
You were 1st out the gate with the news.
Am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious how we are much we are digitally recreating the "defects" and "imperfections" we spent the last 40 years trying to eliminate, digitally?

@@PoliPopo Curious what made you get rid of the Force? The workflow is killer. I imagine even more so now with the MPC Plugin Instruments. I just updated but havent played them yet. I have the force and have been considering an MPC X but every time I consider I really haven't maxed out what I can do on the Force and arguably the workflow is quicker.
Hey thanks for the info! Quick question… I have a hard drive installed in my MPC Live 2 and after updating to 2.11.6 I noticed over half of my 1 TB drive was full… normally I’m at less than 20 percent full. You got any thoughts on what that might be?

Why not put it in controller mode and browse it yourself from the computer. You might have a defective or fraudulent drive.
You really need to output the keyboard so we’re not hearing your room speakers.
Love the new plugins, I see you need to have v 2.11 6,but iam still see v.2.11.5 on my X,with no option to a higher ver? If I purchase the plugins will it give me the ver2.11.6..I am a bit confused 😕

2.11.5 was horrible. Hopefully this fixes the crashing issues I was having just loading loops and samples

Unfortunately not but the software looks pretty close to what’s on the screen so in controller mode it works out pretty cool
When will the update and mini d be available? Nether is showing yet on my akai site..

@@woodandsteel3040 go to their MPC Plugins page and click the new plugins banner (they didn't format their landing pages that well, all are up right now) Mini D is 79$, Flavor Pro is $69 but they won't be that way for long.

Wait man they still have midi cc broken basic functions don’t even work I have done like 6 updates and still no fix. so I thought cool at-least new update gives air flavor pro and ya have to pay for it smh 🤦♂️, so they made a 61 keys a sound pack for 500 and won’t fix the basic functions of the mpc and now charging us again wtf akai 🤦♂️ about to sell this thing just fix the machine !!!! I’m scared to even see the price on this stuff . This is what air flavor should have been in the first place but now we need a pro paid version.

Once I purchase air flavor pro from the MPC site it downloads as a zip file And when I’m hooked up to my computer it will extract directly to the MPC desktop software am I correct?
