I love that they are keeping the Force up to date with everything! Akai is the best! And Andy is awesome too!

Was just playing with this plug-in for the first time. Damn it’s fun! It’s really inspiring to throw this on a sample and go wild with all the new instruments. Akai, keep putting out great plugins and I’ll keep buying them!

Akai is really pushing in the direction technology is growing and can serve the artists. Other brands are just still making synths with a twist.

Well, no they arent. This is literally just software, one of a thousand out there that do the SAME. They arent pushing anything dude. They are literally selling a 200$ office pc shoved into a box with pads on it dude.

I'm just thinking about how the MPC native Mellotron sounds a bit too clean and perfect for that classic sound and how that "corrupted tape" effect would just make it so much more authentic sounding.

Andy has to be the best product demo guy of any manufacturer. I've watched loads of his Beats Academy videos, always so helpful.

Nothing beats sampling from vinyl for that natural effect. That being said, this plug is damn snug 🔥

Mini d ok still has too much high CPU usage like fabric, plug-ins, but the air flavor pro is fire 🔥 and much needed for flavor

How much different is this than the AIR Flavor already on my MPC? Just more features? Or is the basic quality of the sound also that different?

Just a heads up for those using a Tascam model 12 as a usb interface with their MPC… the new update 2.11.6 did not fix the unwanted digital distortion/cracking noise. You need to downgrade back to 2.11.4.

@@SonicVibe odd... Works on my live 2 now on 2.11.6 it didn't on 2.11.5 though, I had te go back to 2.11.4, then updated to 2.11.6 and it now works, however there's now bounce sample bugs on tracks 😂 can't win!

Bought it when it came out not disappointed it’s everything Andy Mac showed & more it’s absolutely amazing and now that I have it I couldn’t imagine producing without it!😮

Cool. But Akai please fix the 2.11.6 update so it's not glitchy and full of static and many of us had to downgrade back to 2.11.4. And it's pronounced tamber not timber Andy (Timbre).

The possibilities are endless!

I thought when he said sending shock waves they hired Roger back to Akai.

If you don’t want to pay up for the Flavor Pro, just record over USB into your MPC with your favorite audio interface … lots of pops, crackles and clicks. Come on AKAI, fix audio over USB, please. 😢

Please, somebody get a message to Andy regarding expanding the effects automation recording ability. At the moment only insert effects can be automated, send/return effect parameters cannot be. Also automation need to be recorded even with a channel muted (to turn off an effect send for example). Automation is extremely important for some genres of music!!!

But I can compare and nothing beats the spectrasonics stuff … ist quite like the real stuff , sometimes can’t hear the difference. And yes that’s expensive … so what I want to say , good job Akai! And thanks for still updating and developing the mpc. Love it

"When im using two controllers, each assigned to its own channel and track notes cancel each other when identical pitches are played at the same time." ...That was the case until the previous firmware update. In the latest firmware - under the above conditions - the shortest note sends a global "note off"! Notes of different note lengths can not be received. If the DAW sends a whole note C3 on Midi channel (1) and a half note C3 on Midi channel (2) at the same time, the MPC only plays a half note on both channels. The whole note on MIDI channel (1) is cut off. Try it. It's like a bad joke. I don't understand all the midi inputs. For what reason? I don't like touching the MPC anymore. This Bug is too cheeky. Previous post: „When im using two controllers, each assigned to its own channel and track notes cancel each other when identical pitches are played at the same time.“ This makes the MPC completely unusable in the studio. It's unbelievable that Akai could even sell a single one of these devices. I don't know of any multimbral instrument in the world that can't be played with external hardware sequencers - Logic or different keyboards - because notes of the same pitch that arrive at the same time cancel each other out on different midi channels. If all multitibral samplers or synthesizers worked like this, there would be no Logic, Steinberg, Abelton. I do not understand that this error is discussed so succinctly. It's like a car can't drive reverse or only turn left and the manufacturer shrugs and replies: It is what it is! How long has the bug been known? Please don't think about it. The main thing is Flavor Pro! It is to cry for. Unfortunately, I only noticed the error too late.

Not to be a hater but the other guy (not Andy Mac) really oversells the emotion like it’s some as seen on tv advertisement.

Too bad the recent Force update screwed up 2/3 of all my tracks by changing LFO retrig on drum tracks. I'm reverting to previous version, and I am not updating until they put out a major bug fix patch and it's been tested. I would have bought a new plugin, but I'm so pissed at them wasting my valuable time trying to fix this BS I can't bring myself to give them any money.

If the step sequencer gets updated I’ll sell my computer. Pretty sure no one uses that thing except for drum velocities.

@@SonicVibe I was thinking more for electronic style melodic productions. Idk tr rec modes are very popular for stuff and pitching steps. Could win over some roland/elektron fans is my thinking. Per step pitch adjustments grid style. Step automation I guess it’s called

Because people started over exaggerating what they think old hiphop etc sounded like, in this gentrified lofi stuff.. but just ends up sounding unnatural and the only cohesiveness being that it all sounds shit/jarring/harsh. Sounds nothing like early 90s sp1200 etc.. just compare their demo in this video to some DITC or something and this over processing with this plugin just sounds so amateur. Doesn't sound anything like sampling old records or tape.

To install it you need to have version 2.11.6. The problem is that bounce to sample doesn't work in 2.11.6. But akai prefer me to pay for the plug-in than fix what it broke.

They will need to release a more powerful CPU and memory version of the mpc to handle these plugins they keep dropping. What they don't tell you is that you can't run more than two of their plugins on a track without using up all of the CPU. Especially multisampled plugins like pianos

Still not a simple thing a sampler should do. Strip vocal out of a sample beats etc. that’s on a free dj software on iPad lol. Like a sampler u want to filer thing out n they miss this basic thing

@@SonicVibe How about I "out grow its method of operation", mainly with the mpc sequencer that makes doing some things very tedious...So yeah the Force has a better work flow for my style thinking/creating. The Force matrix & navigation views makes is way faster for moving, copying, deleting & editing clips across your whole project because all your is in sight. Also the macro capabilities are more advanced & better suited for non-sample-based hip-hop like EDM/Trance. Had a MPC1000/2500 w jjos since 2005/2008 but I'm currently MIDI tracking its beats to the Force. The new MPCs are better but the work flow is still the MPC work flow which I out grew back in about 2011 which lead me to a RS7000 that has a better sequencer then any MPC then I upgraded to the Squarp Pyramid, now back with the Force, though the Pyramid is more powerful some ways.

No no no Akai struggling there and do i will help just redesign all Akai software like pro tools, fl studio or logic this will make Akai more valuable. Otherwise cutting samples sheiit like that will put Akai underground. Just load fl studio in this Box.
