I've owned this watch as a "daily driver" for about six months. I tested it for real-life accuracy over a two month period. It lost only 48 seconds in 61 days, which I think is pretty impressive. It is such a pleasure to use the "jump" hour hand when crossing multiple time zones. I set the rotating bezel to track home time while traveling. The screw-in crown operates smoothly and with a very positive feel. The dial clarity (including the date window) is excellent, and reads easily in the dark. I have a relatively small wrist and the 42mm size has not been an issue. I highly recommend this watch to anyone who can use a travelers GMT.
A stunning piece, I especially like the blue dial version!!!!
Awesome video captures, thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning piece
What a total package watch. Love the timepiece for the value cost. Looking to add this to my collection in the near future.
Bought the petrol blue Big Eye....super piece. Longines has indeed done a gt8 job in the last few years
This watch is fabulous. It does wear slightly smaller than a 42mm especially when on the leather strap which is superb. I have the anthracite dial with green bezel & gold Arabic numerals which is a fantastic colour combination. Completely happy with this purchase.
Staying down to Earth - this is my dream watch!
This GMT in a 39 mm case with a 47 mm lug to lug would be the bomb.

I bought it and love it so far.
Wow! Love that steel and Black!👍🏻
I've seen the video on the main Teddy Baldassare channel comparing Longines Spirit Zulu Time and Tudor Black Bay GMT. As an owner of the latter I can't wait to get my hands on a Zulu Time and compare it with the Black Bay. But right now I can say the Black Bay GMT has a more comfortable 41mm case size for my wrist.
Excelente video Teddy. 🤩🤩⌚️⌚️
Awesome looking watch for sure!
I'm struggling to find something I dislike about this watch. 42mm is perfect for my 7.25" wrist, I love the applied markers, tons of ARC, COSC certification, closed case back, 100m water resistance, a wonderful bracelet, and GMT functionality, and a very competitive price. Heck, I can even stomach the date at 6:00. Now I just need to decide between the blue and the anthracite.

Great review Teddy. I like the watch immensely. I was seriously looking to purchase the Tudor BB GMT but had reservations on the bracelet. Anyway I pulled the trigger on the Longines instead after your review. You’re costing me money every time I watch one of your reviews.😖
Great looking watch. It would be even better in a green or red dial.
Longines are fantastic lately 😊👍🏻
Awesome watch, but I have no need for GMT. I would opt for the regular Spirit with the silver dial. A fine video/analysis as always.
Great looking watch and nice size. Prefer the strap, looks fabulous and on the fly adjustment is superb. Dial is well balanced and love the domed sapphire. Hand set is well executed. The real pull is the COSC certification and true GMT complication. 72 hrs power reserve is excellent. Lot of respect for ETA engines. Would have liked to see less second stuttering. Overall a very impressive watch and great size for me.

Yes i was wondering why the GMT hand kept moving whilst the hours were being adjusted. The “Stuttering” as you called it is the only thing about this watch that makes me hesitant to purchase.
This watch is just simple badass...this is at par with rolex, especially the strap model
I wish they make a titanium grade 5 version with the same colors of the amazing Spirit Chrono Pioneer edition, and full lumen bezel. I would call it Zulu Time "night flight" or "Northern Lights" Please Longines!!
The green+gold+black combo are really surprise me.
Bought this in the black with bracelet- love this watch- but everyday I’m a little bit sad I didn’t get the green bezel….😢. I highly recommend the Zulu- but strongly suggest seeing all 3 colors in person before you make a decision.
A very handsome watch. However, I think you'll find that the black dial now features a bright blue GMT hand and blue Zulu Time text, not to mention white markers - unless it's yet another iteration? The green dial has the gold text and GMT hand.
I love the size.
To follow horologists asking for a smaller version, I'd say this. It's a throwback to traditional aviation watches, they had a large diameter so they could be seen easily. Desiring a smaller aviation watch misses the point. Happy horology.
If they release a smaller version, I’d be hard pressed not to give them my money. Until then, they are helping me save £2.5k!

The new spirit and zulu really got me looking into longines again. Amazing watches both in looks and quality. Hope they release a 39mm zulu sometime next year

Is a piece of art, retro and modern at the same time, definitely for three thousand US dollars, this is the chosen one.
Hope you will also review the new ultra chron.
I love this watch. I wonder if there are any GMTs that a member of the Itty Bitty Wrist Committee (IBWC) can pull off? :)
I think I need one of these
If the zulu time can come in 40mm, I am definitely getting it. Cant wait to see what Longines can offer in the next few years in the GMT lineup. Nonetheless, a beautiful watch!

@@skullduggerysmiles8393 Yes, but the fact of the matter is that the only aviating the average Zulu Time is going to be doing is on the wrists of an airline passenger. You can pay homage to the past and still make relevant changes for the modern customer base. And Longines definitely listens to customer feedback as they released the regular spirit in 37mm which fits many people perfectly.

@@helloworldstein I appreciate your thoughts on the Spirit and am lucky enough to own several longines watches, including two Spirits. I was going to argue that tradition trump's all. But my heart isn't in it. Of course you are right, It is ideal to make watches more accessible to those interested in owning a desired timepiece, by offering a variety of diameters to fit all wrists. Thanks for the input, happy horology.
Wish it had glass bottom, watch is beautiful can’t complain on anything compared to it’s price it’s worth every penny.
Hey Teddy, I was wondering if you could perhaps review the Tissot Powermatic 80 Open Heart. I am thinking of buying it as my first real Watch (when I got my degree) and I wonder why there is no review of it by any big watch channel. I would really appreciate your opinion on this one.
Lovely watch; a bit chunky for a non-chrono though IMO
I’m wearing one in blue on a bracelet as I watched this. Mine runs -3 a day religiously, so not shabby. It’s a big watch, but I love the legibility of the dial. My one complaint is the clasp scratches easily on my desk at work, otherwise this is a solid piece.

#1k👍🤔beautiful in blue on the strap with cool opening. I prefer to see the movement so for me it is a serious knock! My first Longines quartz with an 18k gold 8 sided bezel with hi polish silver screws holding it to the very slim 5mm case. It had a beautiful brushed stainless bracelet. Sapphire crystal white dial with gold stick markers and date. In 1980 it retailed for $750 but I got it on close of business @ $365!! A $3,000 value in today's junk dollars. It is on a crocodile strap and keeps excellent time. A treasure. I would buy the blue if it had a sapphire case back.
I was really looking forward to this but when I tried the watch on the bracelet is a disappointment which feels weak and the watch is too big at 42 mmm with a long lung to lug.
This in a 37mm would be 🔥
I am glad they made this watch in 42mm as had this been 39mm or 40mm I would have purchased one on release day. So my wallet stays safe for now.

I've never thought as myself having a large wrist, but I tried this on over the weekend and it didn't feel remotely large. It felt very compact compared to the Seiko SPB239 I tried on before it.

@@XHobbiesPrime I really like the Seiko SPB249, my only issue with it is the nato straps that come on it. They are doubled over and it makes it sit really high on the wrist. If I was to buy one, I would change it for an oyster braclet. Edit - keep typing 249. I actually mean SPB239.
make both Longines spirit 37mm titanium and 37mm titanium GMT please Longines...
Nice looking watch, but I think the rotating 24 hour bezel without 24-hour markers on the dial is a design flaw. If the GMT hand is pointing at the bezel for reference just leave it fixed. If the GMT hand markers were on the dial like most GMT watches I have seen, you could track a third time zone with the rotating bezel. Then it makes sense.

You mean this Zulu is like every single standard GMT watch in the world except for Glycine Airman, previous version of Breitling Avenger II GMT, Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon, Grand Seiko GMT and probably few other rare exceptions I don't know of? Not including unconventional weirdos like Franck Muller Master Banker or Hublot King Power GMT obviously. Coz most watches that have 24 hours on the dial, don't have a bezel. Or if they have one, it's a dive bezel like Mido Ocean Star GMT. I agree, I got Glycine and Breitling, I'd kill for more watches like that. It's so simple to have a 24 hour scale on a bezel and on a dial at the same time, instantly provides extra options. Yet no one seems to get that. Timex Allied 3 GMT is a bit overkill tho, but a better design could potentially pull it off.
It is growing on me.
I have got 17,5 cm wrist and i do not know which is better to take: 42 or 39 mm..
It is funny, and I’ve noticed this in several reviews, but in straight on shots sometimes only one star catches the light and it looks like the watch got 1 out of 5 stars 1:29. Personally I give it 5 stars.

I went from an SKX 009 to this in the blue. The only thing I can say that is a bit of a let down is the lume. Be prepared to be a little disappointed if you are comparing it to something like an SKX as while still very adequate, it doesn't have that "light up a dark room when coming in from outside" aspect. Literally everything else about it is a massive step up. Which is an understatement
Why are all the dates misalligned... they are all positioned to the left side of the date window instead of in the middle?
Does the ar scratch easily?
If they would just get rid of the 5 stars, or maybe put them on the back, I would purchase a Spirit variant. As it stands it reminds me of something you’d see on an award in a car dealership. Just a tacky addition in an otherwise handsome watch.
Do you deliver in India?
This in 39mm, please!
Looks like a great watch that is just a little too big for a lot of wrists.
Hot take as a huge Longine fan - really wish the blue version’s GMT hand wasn’t orange, it just feels like a Rolex homage move. Blue and orange are ok together but…eh. Would’ve been much nicer with a light blue hand imo.
I LIKE THIS WATCH 42 MM DIAMETER PERFECT FOR MY WRIST OF 18.5 CENTIMETERS. BUT I'M NOT SURE ABOUT ITS CROWN. ITS BASE LOOKS WEEK VULNERABLE... IF I'M THINKING TO INVEST 3000 USD....
Teddy. I love your videos man. But why are you always taking a shot at the regular spirit line with its end links? we get it man it sticks out. Some people are completely fine with that. Like myself who owns one it’s not an issue.
Also, premature move to next date is also annoying laxity noted by others. Not a Tudor/ Rolex beater unfortunately. Black dial not good for nearly invisible blue destination hand. Bummer.!

Wore much larger on the wrist for me with those straight lugs. An unfortunate deal breaker!

If you did a little more reading about Longines heritage, you would know that the five stars are applied since the 1950s models when the watch comes with finest design and calibre. This is a Longines' exclusive calibre and a chronometer certified with silicon balance spring.
I just can't get past the stars on the dial. It looks like it is advertising its Amazon review score or something of that nature. A bit tacky

I tried this watch on yesterday and I have to be honest I wasn’t that impressed, 42 mm on bracelet feels heavy leaving the bracelet feeling Thin .
This watch has a major flaw. There is no fixed 24 hour scale for the GMT hand. The rotating bezel is good, but a fixed 24 hour scale is a must for any travelers GMT.

Probably thinking as someone who doesn't set the watch to UTC I think As a techie, a lot of sever logs I read through are in UTC so for me leaving it at UTC time and simply using offsets to change the bezel correctly when traveling is all I need as well, but if you just want to track 3 random time zones that's not nearly as convenient
@stevet4615

You can set: home time, destination time and escale time. That’s what i’m doing and it’s perfect. Long distance traveler’s watches need this kind of bezel.
