That would have made more sense. Maybe Keira didn’t want to renew her contract or they thought she was too old now (which she certainly isn’t old). When I think of mademoiselle, I think of Keira as she was the face of it for so many years but I guess things move on and change. I’m sure Whitney will do great

The different faces of Chanel No. 5, their most famous and legendary perfume, have been over time: Suzy Parker, Ali McGraw, Jean Shrimpton, Estella Warren, Catherine Deneuve, Vanessa Paradis, Audrey Tautou, Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt (yep, he was), and Giselle Bundchen. So it’s not likely one person will ever stay the sole face of a Chanel perfume, that’s not realistic and they know it. And that would be boring (and uncreative) over time. Not to mention, the most important reason, it’s a company, they need to stay current and attract new and younger women into buying their perfume; to get a new generation “hooked on it.” That is how a company makes their money.
she's beautiful but she doesn't give me the vibe of coco mademoiselle, she's more of a chance type of gal, or the face to a new fragrance

You are obviously uneducated. The French, centuries ago, colonized parts of Africa (and the majority of those places still have French names) AND even today, in those countries French is one of the main spoken languages, if not the main language. The world is diverse. Educate yourself please.
