Can you provide the name of the shop?
Ausgezeichnet 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
These trans make noise every time you put it in D or R. The noise reminds me of old finished front shock when going through a road bump

The DD13 engine is a reliability nightmare with the miles demanded of it in the US.
Automática por favor una orientación
When you demand reliability, demand Eaton-Fuller.

Maybe for manual, but this DT12 is a great transmission.

@@scottcpan68 there are no transmissions other than the Eaton-Fuller 18-speed transmission that have perfect gear ratios.
I hear you need a 4 million dollar machine to fix it
As we know commercial trucks are going fully automated with transmissions. It will definitely get more people into the business. It appears these transmissions are non serviceable so if one goes down it’s pulled and replaced with another, the old transmissions are then scrapped and metal recycled which makes sense. Electric and hydrogen powered trucks are fully automatic by design since they use super powerful electric motors. With a computer shifting the gears human damage errors are greatly reduced.
It’s just too bad they wrap it around a garbage Freightliner

To be honest, out of the automated transmissions on the market, the DT line is the most herky jerky thing I’ve ever driven. Volvo/Mack is much smoother. Don’t know about the new Paccars.

Not really, Detroit Diesel own DT12 is a modified version of Mercedes-Benz truck own powershift3 transmissions (which make sense, they are both owned by Daimler after all)

Lmao. Detroit released the DT12 years before paccar came up with their 12 speed. Paccar copied Detroit.

The I-Shift M-Shift transmissions from Volvo/Mack are based on the Eaton-Fuller Super-10 transmission casings. The DT-12 was finished before Eaton-Fuller finished the Endurant transmission.
If you've ever seen a Mercedes Benz transmission then you would that this transmission is just that. A big steaming pile of Mercedes shit. Get an Eaton! American made stuff is designed so much simpler.

Eaton Fuller does make great manual transmissions but their automatics leave a lot to be desired. I've driven the ultrashift 10 & 13 speeds which were a horrible experience. The newer 12 speed is an improvement but still doesn't compare to the DT12. My last truck was a 2017 Cascadia with the DT12 which I drove for over 3 years and 600K miles, heavy loads through the mountains and not single transmission problem.
