Sacramento native band, The New Crowns, initially formed in the summer of 2017 by brothers Timothy and Michael Brown. The acoustic duo developed a local following playing folk, pop, alternative, and soul style music, before adding drummer, Nick D’Anneo and later a second guitarist, Connor Chavez, to complement their sound. The New Crowns are no strangers to the Two Rivers loft, performing some of their early shows on this stage. Together, the band recorded their newest album, Stuck, which was released in early 2020. During The New Crowns live recording session in the loft, Jason Pierce and Vince Ybarra from Sactunes, also joined in that day and created their own “behind-the-scenes” interview with the Cider Sessions staff.
