There is a VR game called Contractors. In this game there is a Loadout Mod called PMC and if you checked it out I'm 100% sure you be impressed. There a healing system with turnakits, bandages, splints, and AI-2 kits. There's tons of weapons and weapon systems, there's bullet types you can use including HP, AP, +P, Tracer, and FMJ. There's GLs, Binoculars you use to call in airstrikes/mortars, and even an RPG-7 but it's well balanced by using your scoreboard points instead of just spawning with ammo. It's glitchy atm but there is even NVGs now, the fact that he was able to implement NVGs into a game that never even thought about is is crazy. There's a suppression system, the scopes are amazing and render perfectly fine, there's even 3 armors. Light, standard, and heavy and with heavy you get either a riot helmet or a Altyn helmet(depending on if you are USEC or BEAR) and you can even pull down the face shield and it actually works. Again I genuinely think you'd like it maybe even enough to make a video cause that's ONLY THE PMC MOD. There's many others like starwars, Halo, Titanfall, MW2, there's even 100% fucional COD Zombies maps like kino Der toten. And that isn't even including the tons of modded maps that have been put in for example, Crossroads from BOCW, MW2 Wastelamd, and even a starwars HOTH map where engagements are 500-1500m. Oh and it all can be played with standalone too.

19:30 Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you were already dead.

the birds are actually a little game mechanic as well, players startle them and they fly up into the air, if you see birds fly up in the distance, there are players there. It's good fun.

Something you might have missed about bipods: unlike Arma 3, you can actually still move around while your bipod is deployed, and you'll shift the point where your gun is resting as long as you're moving it along a relatively flat surface. Incredibly useful for finding exactly the right firing position, unlike Arma 3 where you had to just keep deploying and picking up your weapon and hope you got lucky with deploying it to a good spot.

I'm very impressed by how natural the terrain looks. Not completely sure why but it feels much more realistic to me than in most games.

videos like this is prof that open voice chat is infinitely better than chat nanny or not chat at all. let people trash talk each other, just give a clear option to disable comms or mute people.

I will say my favorite part about arma reforger is that it is one of the very few games on Xbox that implements Picture in Picture scopes/dual rendering and the fact that it works so well on the game makes me wonder why it’s not in many other games. It makes me want to play the game more than any other shooter

PIP is very taxing and hard to make. It's more common than you think though. Call of Duty has it, I'm pretty sure Hell Let Loose and Insurgency: Sandstorm have it as well. Enlisted might but that game's a bit old now, so I'm not sure.

I prefer the “tactical” shooters the only game I know of on console to have true PiP is reforger and isonzo. Ghosts kinda had it but the full independent PiP with no zoom around the scope is such a clean look, sniping in isonzo is fantastic, if only that game wasn’t dead

Thanks for including a breakdown of the games current and projected progress on top of your gameplay Drew, there's a whole group of people who appreciate ARMA who never really jumped into the deep end with it who are looking at Reforger from an outside perspective. I'm thankful for your analysis on the current state of the game :)

Reforger has come so far since the beginning, so many great mods being worked on too. Lately I've been consumed by the DayZ mods that are in the works, but coming back to Conflict is always a blast

Played this a while back after it first came out and took a break but picked it back up literally last night and was blown away with how much fun I was having. The audio is just absolutely amazing in the gun fights.

that whole flanking maneuver around 13:00 was great. you nailed it, and it's amazing how the basics can still be applied in the right situation

i love reforger and not because i think its an insane game or anything like ridiculous but to as someone whos played arma since 2012 to see how far it has come and formulated itself into something like reforger makes me so excited because i remeber playing arma 2 wishing there was half of the small details in it like reforger has from how your player interacts with stuff and the environment to weapon handling and by far one of the biggest things is vehicles they look absolutely out of this world compared to where we came from.

Driving vehicles is actually enjoyable!

"3BIT" (3 FMJ rounds, 1 tracer). Is the typical NATO LMG/GPMG belt. That can be tailored by the gunner if there is a high chance of fire. I have had to strip all the tracers from a belt because of high fire index. 50BMG/HMG come in all types. Such as a belt of 100 of just APIT (Armour piercing incendiary tracer).

I love you're videos Drewski, heard you talking about the tracer rounds for the MG. It usually 4 rounds between each tracer round. Keep up the hard work you put into these videos.

all of the STALKER and Tarkov experience really pays off when learning Russian phrases, didn't realize Drewski was able to speak it until now

I had the same love for the new suspension playing on experimental as well trying it immediatly after listening to the Devs talk about it during their 32vs32 Arland Test the other day.

Excellent vid! The game is shaping up to be something really special, so many people tried it and gave up early due to its frustrating lack of stability and bugs but it seems people are now starting to take notice again, I've been playing it consistently since launch and have had an absolute tonne of fun with it and met some really great players along the way, here's hoping BI knock it out the park delivering the rest of the roadmap and concrete stability, then we have a solid Arma platform game to play until 4 is on the horizon.

I did play with the mod tools, and thought they were really awesome. I need to get back into it. Itd be cool to have some mods that work for Arma 4 as soon as it launches

I'm one of these people who are returning. Much better now, but I still get a freeze and crash about once an hour and regualr desyncs though. It's got a long way to go to actually become enjoyable (from the performance standpoint, the game itself is brillant).

I'm so proud that Czechia has a worldwide known game studio which makes very good games.

Amazing to see Reforger develop Bohemia Interactive will always be one of my favorite developer companies, looking forward to playing this game and Squad soon someday. Those helicopters *LOOK BEAUTIFUL* just wait for a massed charge of helicopters being deployed and landing, Makes me wonder how tanks will be in Reforger when they come out I bet it'll be fantastic!

There will be no tanks in Reforger from BI. Only mods. And there are plenty of tank mods available now

I can forsee some amazing operations in the future involving you guys and that gets me hype.

I've felt like ArmA reforger just bungie jumped into the dark for the last year but im glad to see it back!

I’ve been playin the new update nonstop mostly on pbs server it’s awesome love the new helis and logi mechanics

Its certainly getting there, all we need is some smarter ai (that can drive) and we might be able to get some good coop gameplay going.

Why is it too much to ask for fighter jets & infantry soldiers in a combined arms game mode these days (especially with proper hotas support)?

@@Madara8989 Arma 4 will have jets. Arma Reforger was only intended to be a limited test bed for Arma 4. So they decided that offical tracked vehicles and jets are out of scope. However, there is a modded A10 in Reforger. Not sure how well it flies, though.

@@icannon6611 Very stable, official servers barely crash, but some player made ones are screwed with mods.

22:35 when Drew pulls and scopes a dude and he immediately is blown up by a rocket had me crying with laughter.

I would love to play this game after some more updates to fix some bugs and crashing. I absolutely love these Cold War gone hot scenarios.

I started playing reforger again this week for the first time since launch, I only have about 20 hours in reforger but a couple thousand on arma 3. I honestly don’t know how much arma 3 I’ll be playing anymore. The mods have finally gotten really good and the 75th rangers public servers are amazing to hop in and play. The game feels very smooth and crashes very little now. I actually love playing the game now absolutely worth the pickup if you like old squad with better gunplay and load-out customization. But the highlight is really how amazing the gunplay is. Absolutely would recommend now and I definitely wouldn’t have on release.

My favorite of your videos and the only ones I watch the whole way through are the stalker gamma videos. Please keep those ones coming and doing something fresh!

Got the cake when it first came out and played a bunch then but I stopped playing after a few weeks mostly from the server problems, but seeing all the progress the game made is making me want to install it again.

I know reforger is just a test for the new engine and all that good jazz, I was disappointed at launch but seeing what they've done since and how they will continue to improve I am quite excited for the future of ARMA

It is nice to see some Arma pvp. Don't see it alot casually in Arma 3. I do sometimes watch Liru's Ofcra and friday night fights, wich is large scale milsim groups pvping against each other, which is fun to watch.

Be sure to check that V-Sync is turned off if you want to see the max fps. V-Sync will limit the FPS to the current refresh rate of the monitor. If your monitor has arefresh rate of 120Hz, that would explain why it's not going above 120 fps. Sometimes there's also a frame limiter option.

Very little experience in Arma 3. Where are good how-to's to the different actions/controls. The server I'm on now is private and seems to be less advanced play, still loads of fun.

To make an additional comment: the grass density too. That that also gets determined server side. Not too much, as I know ArmA usually (at least was) bad at rendering grass. But that it's more easy to both hide on both ends of the team.

Looks like the updates are coming along nicely! All i'm waiting for is for them to add bipod mechanics before i go jumping back in. Having HMG's without bipods in a BI game just reminds me too much of all those dayz servers where you just run around hip-firing a PKM in juggernaut armor all day lol.
