Thx for your recipe. Wanted to mention that the box of ZOTE flakes is 2 bars worth of grated soap. So half of the box would be about one bar grated. I also like to put in some essential oils- lavender is nice, or eucalyptus smells fresh also.

Back to basics is a great idea. I’m 67 and I believe that too. It’s more physical work but it’s way cheaper in most cases. I’m used to working harder. I make and own a soap business and I make coconut soap for my laundry soap. I also use a portable washer which means more work but it really cleans better than my big fancy washer. Great job on the video.

I do to I didn't use the borax but it came out too thick for my liking after sitting almost 24 hrs in bucket. Is there a way to fix the consistency?

@@leonorawilliams1916 Yes! Don’t make it. Soap is unsuitable for washing laundry. Why’s that hard to understand?
Thank you for the zoats soap recipe. It just so happens I had a box of Zoats soap shavings and borax. It took me no time at all to add the hot water, stir, and it was all done. The next morning my soap was thick and creamy just like yours! ❤ thank you!🙏🏻❤️
