I just lunched at the old Jerusalem train station and a citizen of this city for over 45 years. The research for this book is excellent...the sense of quarters of the city with the sites is wonderful. Very enjoyable

I really enjoy it when authors do their research. Hopefully I’ll be able to visit your city someday, I would love to visit the historical sites.

What an education! It was eye opening to learn of the tremendously diverse ethnicities and religious composition of Palestine at this time not to mention the involvement of Turkey and the Ottoman Empire. Also, knowing little of the country, I kept a map to hand as well.

I should have paid more attention to the title...I prefer to listen for Holmes's deductive reasonings not a lengthy orientation of his travels. I did enjoy finding out how Perot solved "Murder On The Orient Express"...

I agree. It’s like a travel book and Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as tourists. Also, it is just so improbable .

34:11 Sherlock and Watson meal time wars. Watson opts for Wiener schnitzel, much to the horror of Sherlock. "Your a doctor aren't you Watson? What are you trying to say?.....This is not a salad. This is suicide!!! 😂😂

I enjoyed this. However, this would have been SO much better without the narrated breaks between E V E R Y s i n g l e piece of the story. It would be a far shorter audio book without all the detritus.

I do not know how others fells, but as for me, I only listen to productions of no longer than 1.5 hours. The reason being, I listen to these audiobooks as I lie in bed,and after the story, I go to sleep. What I do not want, is for the audio to keep on going for houirs afterwards.

😮I listen all day, doing housework, cooking, crochet, writing, and also at night, until I fall asleep. I can't say I have a preference as to length, I'll listen to any, short or long. But I do like the longer ones, I get quite involved and don't want it to end.

I specifically look for the long audio books as they provide an enjoyable way to pass the night. I particularly enjoy the soothing tone of the narrator. Always a treat.

where is the Sherlock Holmes "story".....................this is just constant "babble" about so-called history and trivial back and forth. And you dare to put Conan Doyle's name on it? And yet all your "comments" seem to be filled with glowing admiration for your "work". If this crap doesn't finally "kill" holmes, nothing will.

Great - as always…BUT,Lordy - uTube not pleasant platform on which to listen to this work….a zillion ads spoilt the whole reading and experience. Constant interruptions are so absolutely annoying. I’m so tired of paying for ‘no ad’ options on everything I purchase - when I HATE all ads anyway -and so channels ignore my payments anyway! 😤
