Its screen quality seems to be the main selling point among "budget" gaming laptops. Most budget gaming laptops suck in brightness/color/contrast. I like the tall 1900x1200 size too.

People are more interested in seeing top tier laptop comparison and it's performance but more people buy budget segment , both of those category got its own importance.

In my country, the 2023 lenovo ideapad gaming 3 with the rtx 4050 and ryzen 5 7353hs sells for around 1200 USD, so I'm guessing acer will probably try to compete with that price point. @@rere439 aparently this years rtx 4050 and 4060 series on laptops cap their wattage at 85W. So it doesn’t matter if you get the 140W or 85W because it’s gonna be the same anyways. I don’t know why nvidia is doing this its weird.

What do you think about Acer nitro 5 17.3 QHD ryzen 7 7735hs rtx 4070 for only $1449 in Amazon . I do not decide between the Acer and the asus rog strix g16 i7 13650hx rtx 4060 $120 Cheaper

1499 euro is crazy for this machine with this performance. I bought 3 weeks ago the 2022 nitro5 with i5-12500H and RTX3060 for a bit under 1000 euro (in Poland) and it is few % faster than this model (9300 vs 8850 points in Time Spy)

The main upgrade here is the display. Last year's screen was smaller, had less pixels, aspect ratio, and worse color gamut. This is quite usable for content creation. Use case will determine.

@@craftedtunesentertainment5569 the 2022 model had 2 different panels. the 144Hz one with poor color gamut and ok brightness and the 165Hz one withe 99% sRGB and 350nits brightness. i bought the one with 165Hz screen. So i don't think the new 16:10 display is that much of an upgrade considering the price

Does the new nitro sense have a Hybrid mode where it only uses the integrated GPU unplugged and switches to the NVIDIA GPU plugged like the lenovo and asus app?

OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. YOUR THE FIRST KZreadR (that speaks english) WITH AN ACTUAL DETAILED REVIEW ON THIS THANK YOUUU. I've been waiting for a review because the specs of this laptop seems promising and complete. The price seems good kinda (in the us.. lol) but I live in south east Asia which has a huge market for budget laptops so I'm guessing the price will be okay. Battery is not bad which is what I'm looking for in a gaming laptop. The only thing I hate about this laptop is the design, it looks too gamery unlike the A16 which has the best design so far in my opinion.

I would wait first if i were you, the price is definitely not worth it for the performance especially compared to the Nitro 15 2023 which has better CPU the i5 12500H and RTX 4050 140 Watt and MUCH cheaper at 999$ but the screen is the usual 144hz 62%sRGB so yeah but i would definitely chose the better CPU and much cheaper price compared to paying MUCH more just for better screen and horrible cpu since alot of games are cpu intensive aswell lately

@@Eleganttf2 yeah maybe but since i’m a student, I care a lot about the battery life since i’m barely gonna game. But there are moments where I just wanna hop on cyberpunk just for lil and I need a device capable of running it at high settings. I dont think the i5 12500h is as battery efficient as the ryzen 5 7353hs, 8hour is really the mark for me, can’t go lower than that. Besides, I don’t need the better cpu since i’m only gonna do light work n stuff + the acer nitro 16 is kinda complete in my opinion in terms of specs, display n battery.

@@user-qw5my3po4c Hi, whilst i didn’t buy this laptop, I did buy the Lenovo LOQ 15 which has the same processor and same GPU and I can tell you, games like cyberpunk runs like a dream. CPU is good and the laptop is responsive despite my laptop only having 8GB of ram. Though, I could imagine that this Nitro model would be better than the LOQ 15. The GPU Wattage is higher and battery life is better. I wanted to buy this nitro laptop however, it took too long for my country to release. This was my first option, and from what I can tell from reviews, this laptop is better than the LOQ 15. The Ryzen 5 HS model is battery efficient and pretty good

Why don't you tell me if there is a Mux Switch spec.? Maybe the most important specification.

Yeah should do those tasks just fine. Of course the 3D Animation Paret will be limited by the Small VRAM size of the GPU. But you can usually still render with the cpu and use the system ram instead... depends on your software.

No!! The performance will be about the same! The 4050 would only be faster in games that support frame generation and you'd have to use it in those games. Otherwise not. No upgrade needed unless you want the better overall laptop (nitro 16) over the G5... But 400 dollars upgrade is a bit much for that IMHO.

Do games look pixelated with 1200p (fhd+) resolution on a 16 inch screen..

I don't know how sensitive you are. My eyesight is 100% and I think that not even 1080p looks pixelated on a 16inch screen. So if you ask ME, I would say no ;)

Acer predator helios neo and nitro 16 series are nearly same but 13500hx is better than ryzen 5 7535hs but if you need better battery performance ryzen 5 7535hs is better choice. I think predator helios neo is better bc of cpu and maybe driver

don't know if you should be worrying right now because if you don't have a 40 series rtx gpu all new AAA games will be unplayable you don't have dlss 3 and frame generation. Looking at the steam hardware survey shows that %6.70 has a 40 series gpu and once that number reaches %25 or more newer gaming titles for 1080p will require 1080, 2080, 3080 gpus.

Well... Nitro 5s have usually been cheap entry level Gaming laptops and "mostly" solid. They are louder and the build quality isn't the best, but the FPS per $ is usually pretty good. It depends on your expectations, your budget and if you have other options.

Yes and no. They are similar. Nitro 16 is going to replace Nitro 5 in the future (If im not completely mistakten) though they still released a new Nitro 5, which I didn't expect...

1199 USD for 4050 seems kinda expensive. Previous nitro with 3050 start around 700-800 USD. Yes i am aware this new 40 series has new architecture, frame gen, extra 2 GB vram etc, which might cost Nvidia money to develop. But with that 1199 USD money (or probably even cheaper) i think buyer can get 3060 that might be perform better than 4050.

No. 4050 is better than 3060 dude There's already the comparations 4050 with 105watt TDP literally able to beat 3060 with 120watt Since 4050 have better DLSS, it give so many additional FPS compared to old DLSS 2.0 on 3060

RTX 3050 literally still sell at 700-800$ at official store right now Go search it, every laptops that use RTX 3050 Begin with 700-800$ So RTX 4050 that have twice better performance isn't logic to sell at 800$ since it's would kill the RTX3050 products So 900-1100$ still logic for the market today. Even RTX3060 still cost 1200-1300$

Safe. It won't harm the cpu. They throttle down if they get to hot automatically. You wouldn't have to worry.

@@Uchiha_Sarimi I honestly don't know that. Sorry. That depends on the ram and if the laptop recognizes it correctly. I don't think this is standard procedure. But ram is getting cheaper right now. If it's expensive in your country you could import it. It has world wide compatability.

CPU usage is reaching 100% and GPU usage was very unstable in Cyberpunk 2077. Even my Acer predator helios with i7 8750H, gtx 1060 6GB doesn't has this kind of problem in Cyberpunk 2077. New Nvidia cards are complete pile of trash.

The high cpu usage is due to the use of dlss and thus a higher fps which puts more load on the cpu aswell. Though as you can see Frametimes are pretty smooth so the experience would not be as good on a 1060 / i7 8750h combo...

@@Hubwood Experience in i7 and 1060 is nice bro. I am not playing at high settings but medium 1080p is good. GPU usage in RTX 4050 is inconsistent, it's not going over 90%. In my laptop it was always at 99%. So I can say my GPU is fully utilised. Literally in that laptop the GPU is bottlenecked by the CPU very badly. 98% cpu usage is very bad.

@@karthikeyan53 Again, GPU usage isn't 100% since I was using DLSS in this test. It would be 100% without DLSS. Also DLSS puts more load on the CPU at the same time since the laptop can produce more fps. As you mentioned, you've been using Medium Settings. I was using Ultra Settings. I'm not defending the RTX 4050 as it has its flaws. But it is of course a much better card than the GTX 1060 Mobile. Coincidently I actually tested Cyberpunk with the Helios 300 (i7 + 1060) back in the day as that was my old Laptop ;) kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2Wi2q9qhcuyf9Y.html

They're voltage limited by Nvidia, the 4050, 4060 and 4070 that's why

@@MondBC me personally would get the msi Bravo as it will last longer thanks to the 8gb vram. At least in terms of perdomance etc. Dont know about the quality of these laptops. Haven't tested them ;)

​@@Hubwood Sorry for bothering sir Need another opinion Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 2023 Ryzen 7 7735hs RTX 4050 85W ( 1250$ ) Or Asus Tuf A15 Ryzen 7 6800h RTX 3060 140W ( 1250$ ) Same price but Lenovo still in 8gb RAM on that price if i upgrade to 16gb ram it cost arround 25$ More Needed for long term use 2-4 years ( Gaming, Programming, Video & Picture Rendering ) Next week gonna buy new Laptop. Or do you have another recommendations for 1250$ ?

ahhh actually this acer nitro feels similar with lenovo gaming ideapad 3 which comes with R5-7535HS and RTX 4050, the difference was just the lenovo use 85w instead 140w so hmm interesting
