  3050ti is quite powerful but idk what's Nvidia thinking giving it 4gb vram because of this every modern game wont run smooth due to vram limitations

  You should update the bios and run 3dmark again: the latest should give a gpu boost by not restricting the core speed anymore, so the max default will be 1200Mhz rather than 1000Mhz. I ordered one :) However, about the ram, I'm a bit worried about it having 12Gb soldered onboard and how limiting this will be in the future. Perhaps a N100 or N200 with expandable RAM would've been better.

  The laptop does that automatically. Means it can shift power between CPU and GPU to whichever needs more power at any given moment.

  @@kenrzq nothing beside driver and maybe bios updates (don't remember if there were any). Also make sure it's plugged in and you're using the performance mode of the control center

  I am really thinking about purchasing this laptop with Ultra 5 and OLED display. But I am worried about fan noise and excessive heating. Will that be a problem? Also it is durable enough? Or are there better alternatives for similar budget? Anybody's response is appreciated. Thank you!

  Super excited for the ROG Ally X. I might be insane preordered it for music production. I missed out on the original Ally but more RAM, more space and more battery? I seem to have stumbled upon the ROG Ally X at the perfect time. I have an Odin 2, a PS4 and a Switch but my laptops are too old to run Steam games well. I'm getting this ROG Ally X to use FL Studio on mobilly and also play some games I can't play anywhere else like "Fading Afternoon" or "Palworld" with my friends or the new Sonic and Dragon Ball games when they come out. I was gonna get a dock and turn this thing into my new lortable desktop. I already have a screen and keyboard/mouse. I'm super excited to cook up some tracks on here and also play a few games too. My friends are saying I'm crazy for buying this instead of a laptop or a desktop. But I wanted something more portable & it seems to be able to do everything I want it to do. Plus I'm not a super huge gamer so I won't be playing a lot of FPS games or any od the huge flagship titles. Maybe some anime games as they release and some light emulation that I can't do on my Odin 2. I hope I don't regret my purchase 😭 All the laptops I was looking at were a little out of my pricerange and all had drawbacks that scared me from pulling the trigger on a purchase. I almost copped the Lenovo Legion GO for the bigger screen but I don't like the concept of joy cons. The console seems a little more fragile. I feel like the Ally X will be a little more durable

  i got the 12500H 3050 model for €600 with 8GB ram and added another stick of ram, its a very good laptop for that price imo. The cooling isnt great but i just use it for some minecraft and such and use my desktop with a 3060ti for the heavy games. battery life is complete utter garbage tho, 2 hours.

  These things WORK. I use one on my Gen 5 Legion 7 (10750H/2070Super) that laptop has always ran HOT. Regardless of repasting, undervolting, etc. This cooler thoguh wrangled it in. Worth every penny for a laptop that stays mostly in one place.

  Torx 6 ist es glaub ich nicht, wohl viel kleiner... Wird 32GB + 8GB funktionieren? Oder werden nur die 32 angezeigt? Soll der 32er als erster rein und dann der achter? LG.

  Das geht zwar ist aber immer besser auf beiden Channels die selbe Größe zu haben weil sonst ggf nicht immer dual channel Mode angelegt wird. Aber ich muss gestehen bin mir nicht sicher wie das bei Laptops mit DDR 5 ist, da selbiger da eigentlich weniger empfindlich ist.

  The reason why FPS is capped on laptop GPUs is because of power saving reasons. Nvidia calls this technology Max-Q, AMD has something similar too. There's no need for 200+ FPS anyway, it only causes high temperatures and loud fans. Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪👋🏻

  MaxQ waren einfach die GPU Versionen mit weniger Power/Watt. Also quasi die Stromspar varianten. Das hat erstmal nix mit einem FPS Cap zu tun ;) 200 FPS verursachen auch nur dann Hitze und Lautstärke wenn der PC dafür an die Grenzen gehen muss ;) bei einfacheren Games muss er das dafür ggf gar nicht 😬 Aber ja, mehr als 200fps machen nur in manchen Fällen Sinn. CS2... Apex... Overwatch etc.

  Great Laptop but at 4:31, how can you even remotely test a laptop with battery and no plugged in (in performance mode) for these cinebench? Independently on how useless they are compared to real life.

  The Acer is the better laptop for sure. But the gigabyte has 8GB Vram over only 6gb. Depends on the games you play. The i5 and the i7 are super equal. The rtx 4060 won't be much faster than the 4050 due to its loser wattage. Maybe even identical in some games. But the Vram... Assuming the G5 is much cheaper, but a not laptop with a high value...

  I love reviewers like you who provide things like fps in games and lets you know everything about it I see some reviewers who don’t even Play test any games for fps they continuously talk about “video editing” and I get it some people use gaming laptops for editing sometimes but the main purpose of these GAMING laptops is for GAMING
