Who originally produced the video? Who was the director? Who was the video editor? Who made the decision to remove the statue of Christ from the video? Would you have dared to remove a religious icon of the Islamic or J€wish religion?

Two days ago a guy with a temporary Stuttgart license plate on a brand new S/T crossed my village in the Alps of Italy (Bormio) heading south. He probably just received the car from the factory. Hi Guys. I just want to let you know I am extremely disappointed about Porsche AG airbrushing out the statue of JESUS from your 911 ST ad (60 years of the 911) in Portugal. I have been a Porsche brand ambassador for a long time here in Australia, was president of the PCWA for 4 years and VP for one and currently VP of Porsche owners WA. Why would you intentionally remove a statue of Jesus for one of your ad's? It beggars belief! This is very very disappointing however thankyou for putting it back!

Imagine if one were to refer to Stuttgart as the the city in southern Germany famous for being headquarters of automaker Mercedes-Benz. Or a photo of the skyline of Stuttgart with any reference to Porsche deleted. Would they film this commercial in Berlin and remove the Brandenburg Gate or the Reichstag Building? Would they film the 911 driving in front of the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne and remove the Cologne Cathedral? Would they Photoshop out the Marienplatz or the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich? The Hauptbahnhof in Frankfurt? This was a choice. A choice to placate a small group at the expense of the cultural identity of Lisbon. They thought nobody would notice because it was such a brief shot in the video. And when they were exposed, they weren't even 100% honest about what they did. They didn't simply remove a landmark. They jumped on the bandwagon to attack symbols of the largest religion in Christianity, the largest religion in Stuttgart and in Germany. Why would an iconic brand that represents a nation turn their back on the largest religious segment in the county? To make a political statement.

Honestly its beyond me why the guy in charge of the Production of this excellent video and the Porsche CEO( who have seen the video before giving thumbs up for the release of the same) did remove intentionally such a Lisbon Landmark has the Statue of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Ok,Porsche did Apologize and put the Statue has it should be on the "new"l edition of the video. But WTF they were thinking to "erase" deliberaty such an Lisboa Icon,and the meaning behind the construction of that Awesome Monument. !Sorry Porsche but that has no excuse at all. The Statue of Christ with the Bridge just by its side are part of the Lisboa(Lisbon) landscape,and are landmarks. I love Porche because its the only supercar/hypercar who always have 4 seats in it.

This is a great example of why inclusiveness and favoring secularism don't ever work out regarding creative decision making, especially in media. It has exactly the opposite effect and will cause more exposure for the religion that you try to filter out. Let this be a valuable lesson for all creatives and decision makers that want to be "inclusive".
