As a worker in coffeeshop, where we work with an official lab (bud tests 16-18%) but the total of the cannabinoids tests at 22-28, the thc they claim is literally just thc/thc-a where all the other tests show u all of the cannabinoids in ur bud

@@followthemonkey thc in ur bud is not just single thc, u have many variations(thc, thc-a etc) im pretty sure a small plastic box cannot separate all the diffrent cannabinoids, where the labs are able to, thats where u get ur 20+ results by simply not separating all the cannabinoids rather giving u an all in result

Does the official lab also test terpene(s) profile(s)/levels as in the % of terpenes and which are available in the flower being tested? Having the total cannabinoid content listed is cool, then again, how many of the cannabinoids are listed on those results? Those lab tests can easily be juked in order to fit the markets demands or pass other regulations. I am not wearing a tinfoil hat here, it is only an opinion of mine.

@@mundosd1051 that’s great, cause the more flavour (flavanoids) and more essence/aroma (terpenes) the flower has, the better are the effects. Getting that info on the packaging is essential, at least the most dominant terpenes and cannabinoids.

@@christlulz so i haD the link but my comment got taken down, but in short the thc most coffeeshop claIms is the active thc(19%) where the total of cannabinoids reaches 24, they include thc(a), thc, thc-V, cbd, cbd(a), cbn, cbg, cbc and cbl, as for terpenes they test for 12 most dominant in the bud, where 3 stick out with ranges 0.20-0.30% and the rest being at about 0.01-.1, also what they provide( main reason of testing) is the pesticides herbicides mycotoxins and all the heavy metals u can find in ur bud

The reason why it said 15% on the label was bc legally coffeeshop can not sell weed with more than %15 thc. It's a rule from the 80's wich ofc as we all know isn't even possible these days.

@@Gobbbbb They test some trim or whatever to make sure it says 15% on the label. The actual % might be a lot higher, but it can legally only be sold up to 15% (even though any coffeeshop will sell with higher claims) - this is now done because it's a more "proper" approach, whereas coffeeshops previously were just a "the government just ignores it" type of situation. The 15% rule exists since the 80's, but I've seen 32% in the CS's so it hasn't been something that was enforced.

Tilburg is my go to place since it’s the first coffeeshop town from the border of Belgium. Uncle kush reviewed the legal bud too and wasn’t happy about it. Germany is also legalizing. Hopefully Belgium follows suit

Wouldn't "legalization" in the actual on-paper sense in a single country make it legal in all of EU as it will fall under the "free circulation of goods"? I heard that might be the case with truffles as they can be imported and NL mistakenly called them legal therefore the other EU countries are forced to allow its import. I'm not a EU legislation specialist btw. But I think that's why most countries go with the "we'll look the other way" route instead or the clubs in spain, just to not outright call it "legal".

That definitely could be a reason. It's a well known trick to send bone dry bud to the lab in order to get inflated test results. Also it's the difference in testing methods. I'm pretty sure the legal bud was tested in a lab using HPLC as opposed to the spectroscopy kit Drew uses. You can be pretty certain that at least at the time of testing, the results were accurate. Its probably because the growers have to ship earlier then they would like as they are only allowed to have so much stock. And as far as I know the 500g rule is also still in place, so the legal weed still goes to an illegal coffeeshops stashhouse somewhere but whatever..

Katsu is really the standout place for a nice vibe and not in with the crowds. Green Place has super nice strains but at a price. De Kade is a nice out of town place with decent prices. But head to Haarlem and Willie Wortel for a change of pace and price.

@@itzstat1c132 Exactly. Terpenes and other cannabinoids besides THC make for a full spectrum high. That's why if you smoke pure THC like distillate or THCA diamonds its a very bland almost 2d high.

As a student in th netherlands I do know that official lab tests do not exist for bud so any testing is done case by case and I thus can't imagine they test every bud with that 1g packaging. So i think the marketed 15% is probably the best they came up with as an average for the whole grow but im just speculating

if they harvest 500g for example, they will take out 1 bud of the dried flowers to measure the thc amount in order to be able to provide an average number for that whole charge. of course it can fluctuate from bud to bud and plant to plant but there is no way someone is going to measure every single packaging hand by hand

they test batches, like the % on these baggies varies quite a lot even though the quality seems to be pretty consistent. so I'm guessing they're just not testing very accurately for some reason (maybe they test at different times in the curing process or something, could just be some dumb logistical reason)

This is my literal job. The THC content posted on the COA vs analysed by your self could differ for numerous reasons. Human error on HPLC operator both in pre processing operations and post processing callibration curve, your mini tester may have a few % error, depends on when in time line it was put through HPLC - pre/post harvest/drying/curing (if it's the first legal batch out for sale they may have run it early), could have be dosed with artifical THC, could have been doing THC-A over THC tests

Here in my state in the USA , they have a +/-10% on packaging haha so basically what you have and the listing of the percentage could be higher or lower by 10%. If you have a strain the says 19% it’s basically saying it’s between 9-29%. I think for legal terms and liability haha Edit: it’s usually on the higher end tbh

Nice Video as always, keep the work up man! Its good that they finally decided to do legal grows but the whole system is still not elaborated enough. The full legalisation of bud is just not possible due to EU drug policy. Germany wanted to legalize it fully, but they failed as well. Now well be getting a part allowance where you can have up to 50gs or 3 plants at home and also social clubs (with really cheap bud: no taxes, prob around 3-5€). Better than nothing but still fcked concerning it took over 2 1/2 years. Sadly there will be no legal way for you to test german bud other than go to a private person whos willing to give you theirs, since youll only be allowed to buy or cultivate if you live here for longer than 9 months.

nah it doesn't matter and some of these baggies have percentages way higher. think the test is just not very accurate for some reason.

2 months further and we have now weed for 1 euro the Gram (its a bag of 5g with mixed weed for 5 euro)! this experiment is great!

The reason they show worst results than they have is because the plan that they have for the legalisation. At first they wanted a shop to get a contract which states that they can only sell legal products. This plan was pushed forwards for one year ( maybe even several times 1 year) then c*vid came and that plan was put completely back in the drawer. Now they are doing it like this where the store is only allowed if they follow the concept including ( the test results on packaging and i think also the 1 gramm back has to do with this but i am not 100% sure with the latter) when they continue and expand the project they want to put a higher age ( maybe also higher prices/tax) on the 20%+ varieties. I don't mind 21+ for the 20%+ but a higher price i do mind. Hope this helps you with your questions

You need to go to Canada brother, lived there for a few months and the Bud was ridiculously nice and cheap, I was buying oz for $100-90, I felt like snoop dog walking out with 2 OZ’s. Highly recommended.

Legally it's actually quite funny here in the Netherlands.. in short: its illegal to grow the green magic, it's illegal to sell to a coffeeshop. The coffeeshop is legally selling the grass they illegally bought fom a dealer BUT are only allowed to have like 500g stored at the facility. Which results in (sometimes) numerous illegal transactions a day from a dealer to the shop, or the shop illegally having over 500g in store, when cought they face a permanent closure of the shop. We are legally buying our grass but as soon as we leave the shop we are in a grey area.. its illegal to be in possesion of drgs, technically its now "tolerated" to carry the grass but legally if you carry over 5g you are comming a crime. Under 5 g you are safe to go BUT according to the law the officer is able to conficate the grass (usually they dont tho). Our legal system on this topic is waaaaaaaay to complicated and we are now officially run over by America and Canada f.e..

Some of the problem with illegal weed is the money. Where do the money from the weed go? The governments do not like black money.

I had a similar feeling about the THC % on these baggies. it does differ from batch to batch though so they have to be measuring something, right? was pleasantly surprised by the price/quality of some of this legal stuff though.. also some shops do have 5g baggies of this legal stuff (like Coffeeshop Level in Tilburg)

I read that part of this Legalizing-Test-Project is that the government wants to know if people are going for lower thc values (under 20% or even around 10%) if the bud is grown legally. So that's maybe why.

I asked a worker in the toermalijn, they can keep 500g of illegal bud AND 500g’s of the “legal” bud

Coffee shops must adhere to rules (the tolerance criteria) for the sale of weed and hashish. A coffee shop must meet the following conditions: No more than 5 grams of soft drugs per day may be sold per person. Possession of cannabis is also not 100% legal, outdoors you are also allowed to carry up to 5 grams of soft drugs per person. The 5 gram rule also applies indoors, but in this case you can also have 5 cannabis plants.

this is a test fase, once this has passed they would move on to the next fase. Getting rid off all the illegal bud on the menu. But I don't understand how this can ever work if not every city is participating in this experiment..

If you like haze go The Hague . I swear that city runs on haze. Any coffeeshop that is linked to ‘Amsterdam genetics’ is absolute class. ( boerenjongens / the plug) are 2 I know of. Stay away from the bulldog and Tyson 2.0, they are definitely overrated/overpriced. Hope this helps 👍

You can find legal weed in more cities now, just tried peyote cookies and its just fine. The price is also very nice at 8 euros per gram

The reason for the 15% could be that for the purposes of measuring the strength that they take a sample of the plant with stems and leaves still attached, grind all that up and test the overall strength. I know when you get busted for growing in NL, as well as getting done by the police you also get prosecuted by the Belastingdienst (Inland revenue) for tax evasion, and to calculate how much weed you have they weigh the entire plant and base their calculations on that.

So I'm assuming that most of the product is coming from the USA. The way testing is here, the potentcy is tested 31 days before the plant is actually harvested. So technically, you have 31 extra days to boost the potentcy of the final product. This is why there is such a discrepancy between the numbers on the bag, and the numbers that you are actually getting. The numbers on the bag are "lab test" numbers, which are obtained 31 days prior to harvest, the numbers that you are getting are obviously post harvest numbers.

the tolerated rules will be abolished at some point. this current run of legal packs is part of an experiment on the side of the regular tolerated system, which means it isnt fully implemented yet. if this experiment proves to be a success, the current rules that come with the current regulated system will be replaced for a more legalized process

Drew uses the same tester as N’Specta and N’Specta is one of the most honest and most knowledgeable guys in the whole entire weed growing community. If he uses it then it’s most likely an accurate tester. I can’t remember the name of the tester but they definitely use the same one.

@@Gobbbbb Aye it’s purple something or blue something. N’Specta of csi humbolt uses one and he knows more about cannabis gentics than anyone on the planet and he’s not the type to use buckshee equipment so I’m inclined to take Drews numbers at face value.

Maybe the 500g rule is to reduce the chance of criminals committing armed robbery of the shops? If there was 20kg of bud in the shop it would be worth the risk but for 500g is it worth it? Sad to think about but could actually be a clever rule to have by The Netherlands.

Most coffeeshops over here exually have more then 500 grams on stock but mostly hidden because sometimes they get police raids. For what I know (as a dutch guy) its not against criminals. But it was placed in the "decriminalisation law" for weed, in 1976. And weed/softdrugs laws havent changed since then.

As you already know from the delta 9 laws in USA, even if a pure thc bud is tested once heated/burn thc percentage will change.

I pay $6 a gram. But they only sell it in 15gm, so $89 👍.

The reason behind the 15% is that as always some people that have never smoked weed ever decided to set 15% as the maximum. That is what I think is happening. Which is silly as can be. Good that the percentages are higher than the packages state if 15% is the maximum. Who wants 15%? Not a lot of people want 15%. The 1 gram is because of the lack of supply in the startup phase. They are planning to produce more so that they can also make bigger packages. Let us see if that works out. All the bags are packaged at the grower already, that is indeed very very wasteful.

I tell you why it's 15% thc. The coffeeshops in the Netherlands can't sell upon a certain amount of thc. If I know good it's 23% and hope they don't get closed

So you go on about how easy it is to get medical cannabis I've been trying for nearly a year now with mamedica I'm disabled on loads of opiates for pain but still I get turned down

does anyone know in what way they legalized? thinking about how germany scaled back and such. another thing that would be super great if they actually managed to make cannabis a legal product is that it would be legal to sell and buy in the whole EU due to the singel market agrement, or have they just licensed some companys to grow and sell to the coffeshops?

There are now official companies that are licensed to grow weed and ship it out to coffeeshops around the country. The experiment hasn’t quite started yet because only 2-3 growers are at a level where they are ready to supply their weed (one being Canadelaar from the video). Stores can still only carry 500 grams in Tilburg and you can still only buy 5 grams in-store, with no possibility of ordering online.

@@OliveLC ah i see do you know about later plans if it does get legalized will it be like now but with licensed companys supplying the bud just coffeshops and maybe homegrow but never online orders like you can do with truffles? that would be like a more controlled tollerance model but still not realy making it legal still good for you but i would love to see it made truly legal at the EU level :)
