Your voice is so calming. I mean that genuinely. When I listen to your videos, my thoughts don't race as terrifyingly fast as they usually do, and I feel more at ease. Crazy how you were at full HP with armor on and got OHKO'd by an icicle. The creator of that mod should probably rebalance that cause it seems kinda cheap. Oh well, looking forward to your next series. The chill vibes in all your videos are immaculate.

They probably use the same code as pointed dripstone, which can deal quite a shocking amount of damage (5 blocks fall distance is all it takes for them to one shot an unarmored player), it's just very rare for them to fall on your head in a solo survival world. But yeah, given how much more likely the icicles are to hit a player unexpectedly and how they realistically are more fragile and less heavy than a piece of dripstone, the damage here should really be nerfed a bunch.

@@norcobick Funnily enough, I have zero practical experience in game development. I just had a feeling that the mod maker used dripstone code, looked up the damage values on the Minecraft wiki and the results checked out. Though I will say, it has become a bit of a hobby of mine to theorize up solutions for flaws I notice in existing games and I do want to eventually get into the indie scene myself, but that's all still a pretty long ways off due to just how many different things you have to learn and get at least somewhat proficient with first. Regardless, it's always encouraging to read replies like this. Many thanks!

I genuinely thought that it would be the Nether that ended the series. I definitely didn't see that Icicle being the one to do it instead. It was a great series while it lasted. I normally don't like playing hardcore because I don't want to lose all the hard work due to death, but maybe I'll give it a try with this mod pack and see how it goes. For some medieval buildings I can recommend Viggoman and also HFranz on KZread as they are one of the few channels who build actual realistic medieval builds if that is what you might get inspired by. But some fantasy flavor can always make it interesting too. Also one medieval build which absolutely amazes me with its level of detail and dedication and realism is the "Medvedsky hrad" also reviewed by Viggoman and other people. just a few ideas for some inspiration but Im sure you are that type of a person who has plenty of originality so Im looking forward to the next videos!

Flowstate if you are going to make a medieval modpack, i would recommend that you use the medieval weapons mod, it just adds some unique weapons, that are very simple with there own crafting recipe. you can also combo that with epic fight mod or better combat, which both just enhance combat animations.
