Jerry West should always be the logo. 1.Why? He played high school ( were he had what 60 colleges looking at him.) 2. He played college 3. Olympics 4. Amazing career. ( scoring title , and championship) This is where it interesting 5. Successful head coach 6. Successful GM 7. Other front office stuff Jerry West was successful and played at every level of Basketball. He is the NBA. Very few players if any accomplished what he did

Agreed, it's the only logo that could possibly replace the Jerry west logo. It's simple and could still keep the red and blue down the middle. Plus dunking is more exciting than dribbling.

The real logo should be Scott Skiles.

Why can't people for once in a lifetime think about Wilt Chamberlain? He didn't win many seasons but that's more of a team matter, he averaged 30 points per game, got 70 points by himself in six games, got a hundred in another, never fouled out another player, and also got 55 rebounds against Bill Russell and Russell cried after the game. Wilt did all of that while holding back his power and being kind, and being very good at many many other athletic activities.

All things need a new vibe now and then.

Teams and team logos change yearly, you'd have to update the NBA logo yearly if we had all the teams in the logo. Way too complicated.

Its one of the logos that actually never needs to change, it shouldnt represent an actual person, it juts happened to be west due to the shape, not its name.

IF, AND ONLY IF, A CHANGE WERE IN QUESION, Shawn Kemp's free throw dunk should be the logo. The position of his back leg was insanely high and his whole body was in perfect symmetry. Aesthetically better than MJ's ft dunk.

@@raegangottsch2951 Were you even alive in the 90's? Shawn Kemp was a multiple all-star who featured in every top ten highlight almost every night. Dude used to dunk on everybody. Arguably the best in-game dunker in NBA history (according to KG he was the best).

No it doesn’t it’s perfect as is, and things sometimes just don’t need change no matter how the times change. Just cuz Kobe passed away doesn’t mean we need to change things to make his death more meaningful. You can grieve as a fan w out having to change stuff for it to mean anything
