    I think a cool explanation of why the viper tobi kodachi lost its electricity is that normal tobi’s gathers static electricity from brushing in the bush. Due to the forest being all covered in snow the viper tobi can’t gather any electricity from it.

    It makes me think of how some snakes are venomous and others aren't, its likely both started with venom but the ones that lived in the ancient forest developed the thunder sack while Viper's venom became stronger without the trees as a resource. It seems pretty cannon that the hoarfrost reach wasn't always as cold considering the frozen elder's recess below, maybe the viper tobis venom and paralysis developed as the land became more unforgiving or at least much colder or the popo becoming the dominant herbivores.

    God I love the vibe of World. The discovery of the Hoarfrost Reach and the following expeditions into it really drive home the fact that the Commission is separated from the rest of the Guild, stuck in hostile locales and surrounded by dangerous wildlife. And yet they love it because Monhun humans are adrenaline junkies and they're super into exploring. It's so fun

    If you have the money and time for a more long-term entertainment investment, I HIGHLY recommend playing Monster Hunter World. It is a great game for your first Monster Hunter game, and the way its amazing combat, well-made Environment and impactful and realistic monsters flow together to make a beautiful, breathing, Believable world, is a VERY fun gaming experience. If you enjoy it and want more, the Iceborne expansion is effectively the same game's amount of content stacked on top of it, and it has some Truly Magnificent fights against terrifyingly powerful Elder Dragons.

    It's interesting that you use Odo and Ebony Odo as your examples for microevolution to adapt while migrating. There's a really good theory going around that Ebony is actually the ORIGINAL, and red Odo is in fact the "mutation". Don't know if you've seen that, but it's a really interesting video.

  • @green_lettuce

    Yeah I’ve heard that subspecies or mutations are really the original and the ones we see frequently are the new ones or mutations

  • @SynysterProjects

    @SynysterProjects

    Жыл бұрын

    @@green_lettuce that's entirely possible. It would make their rarity all the more believable, as the evolutionary traits are becoming more rare due to selective breeding. But it's hard to say for sure whether that is the case, or if it's the opposite and subspecies are the next evolution that hasn't become dominant in the species yet.

    I do just want to point out that larger creatures often thrive in colder climates due to size being more energy efficient in the cold, it's why polar bears are so heckin big and why things in cold waters or the dark of the abyss grow to such sizes. It feels a bit strange to have missed commenting on that with something like Banbarro

Like we haven't found the original one because the ones that we have found were hyper adapted to each of their respective habitats.

    One quick distinction, velkhana is a dragon, and not a wyvern. Wyverns are creatures with 4 limbs where dragons (or at least the elder dragons that are actually dragons) have 6 limbs, generally 4 legs with 2 wings, but with some odd cases like shara ishvalda or the magalas. Wyverns only have 4 limbs, generally 2 feet and 2 wings rathalos style, but with a good deal of exceptions, like pseudo Wyverns with their forelimb wing hybrids, or bird and brute Wyverns foregoing wings altogether.
