My husband discarted me with no explanation one day after coming from a business trip. We separated and after two years of being on my own I recupetated emotionally. He then started saying he had made a mistake and asked constantly for forgiveness and another chance. I caved in and let him move in back with him. Eight monts later and totally out of the blue while walking our dog he said he needed to finish our relationship. His explanation " I dont admire you anymore". Clearly this was his attempt at destroying me. The effect of this words was devastating on me but i gathered strenght and served him with the divorce papers. It took me almost three years to recover emotionally from this narcissistic rollercoaster, but I did. Despite the pain and loneliness I resisted his last offer to go back together keeping my integrity and dignity. It was a great internal battle, difficult after 33 years of relationshion and three children and shared assets. There comes a moment one has to see things for what they are and be clear when it is the last straw. They can try to destroy us but it is up to us not to allow it.

They are evil beyond words. I left the narcissist when I actually caught him cheating which he had engineered for me to do. Then I got gaslighting and the love bombing hoover, complete madness I walked away and never looked back.

Well I caught him cheatimg but somehow I was the one who destroyed him😂😂😂 it took me 8 weeks to see and understand what was happening and what I lived through the past 9 years. I am done and never ever taking him back ever again. Divorce it is. I felt stupid dom, responsable for him cheating on me and leaving me, I wasn t good enough, not good looking enough, ugly, not attractive, ignorant and selfish. Pfffff. I can t believe he made me believe this while I m high educated, used to be strong, used to take good care of myself and be proud of me. Iam back now, I feel good, libeeated and HAPPY. He is not worthba second of my time

EXACTLY. I do regret letting it go on . My marraige was strung out 11 years. Not including the couple years before. Before I understood what was going on with the narcissism I didn't figure out what was going on. Hence it went on Way too long. He wasted years of my life. Later on said he wanted a way back and I completely refused. I was Never going to go thru that again. Funny he was sure I'd want him back - when I was over it after 3 months . It was that awful - NEVER again.

They don't want you to move on. My ex-my childhood sweetheart-left me when we were 21 and 25 and she left everything very open-ended and I had no closure. She would get in touch every so often during the following months and years. Even over a decade later she'd randomly leave a note on my mother's porch and, 15 years after, we spoke on the phone at her request. We got back together after 25 years and it was a living nightmare. I learned what narcissism and borderline personality was and saw her game. When she was dumping me again about 27 years later I was done . . . through. That night, she said "Denny, I'm breaking up with you . . . but I still love you." I said, "Yeah, right!" I slept on the couch and drove away from her place one last time with closure and I felt like the greatest weight was lifted from my shoulders . . . after 39 years! I didn't let her leave me hanging again. It was over and done.

They are damaged. When it's all said and done, they will choose the ones who damaged them over you. Even if they acknowledge the damage, they'll still identify with the ones who caused them to be warped. It's the most mixed up thing and sometimes it takes years to understand what you're seeing because it's so bizarre and twisted.

Its a crime how they lie about innocent people. Horrible people who keep horrible immoral company,never stick to the right path.

Shame is physical pain for them. To reconnect to themselves, especially at an older age, they have to face a lifetime of betrayals, lies, deception, etc.... It makes all the devaluation, betrayals and deceptions like a candle compared to the sun. Yes, she was about 5 years old when she went from being #1 and daddy's girl to nothing in the eyes of the most important man in her life. How does a 5yr old girl survive that? She created a false persona and sacrificed her true self to it. She's still in there. Like a passenger in car with a monster at the wheel. I have wept the tears that she never will, and with great reluctance, I have given up and walked away. She left me someplace so dark I had to learn how to love myself to survive. I know the ex narc will never come near me again, I smashed him into the ground and back to where he came from….HELL. After months of emotional and mental abuse I called it a day. We had only moved into the house we had bought 3 months earlier and then he had to buy me out by getting a mortgage and selling stocks and shares. In the last 3 months I was there I turned the tables on him, everything he tried to do I blocked, when he would barge into my bedroom day and night without knocking just to mouth off, most of the time I stayed silent and on others I verbally punched him between the eyes with home truths. I reminded him his 3 ex wives left him, only 1 of his 4 children speaks to him, that another girlfriend had chosen her family over him and like my predecessor, we both chose ourselves. He got my replacement the day after I said I was done, luckily 3 weeks before I moved out she dumped him, oh how I laughed in his face. He was on dating websites desperately finding someone else, 3 dumped him before even meeting. I had already told neighbours about him because he was getting out of hand, I went to the Police station with 100 recordings of his rants and threats and he was invited in for a voluntary interview and read his rights and told to stay away from me. I installed a camera in my bedroom which gave me peace as he knew he would get filmed. I also moved out the day before planned, he wanted to be there on his day off to help the movers so they would think I was the bad one and so he could gloat when I gave him my key, so I moved out the day before when he was at work…..oh what an anti climax for him, he plan failed. 😂😂 He now has the house up for sale a year after us buying it, obviously who ever came after me dumped him as he was back on the dating site a few weeks ago and now he’s selling the house. Women are catching on. Karma does catch up with them and I’m delighted to say I witnessed it. There is light at the end of the tunnel but you have to strike the match yourself. We will beat these evil possessed entities.

The absence of self awareness and introspection is mind blowing to me . I’m all about learning and growing as a person. She was never interested in that kind of conversation

I tried to leave my ex-narc multiple times due to his abusive tactics, and you're right they learn these behaviours from their parents or one of them. They are traumatised and damaged goods and their favourite role to hook an empath in is to play the victim. I was very independent when I met him but over years of him enabling me under the guise of helping me I became co-dependant. They want you to depend on them, emotionally, mentally, physically and financially, so you can't leave them. My ex-narc always begged for forgiveness and promised he would change, they never change. Before I knew it I was lured back into the same cycle of value, devaluing and then discarding. It's a downward spiral and gets worse the longer you are with them. They will try to destroy you mentally, physically and emotionally until you are on the brink of committing suicide. Do not underestimate them or trust what they say or promise you it's all a lie only a person's actions show their true character. If you have managed to escape regardless of who discarded who stays no contact and keep that portal to hell closed for good, don't look back just count your blessings and keep moving on regardless of what the narc is up to. Wish you the best of luck as you will need it not easy to get rid of these parasites as they try to suck the life force out of anyone they come into contact with,

He always told me ..why are you so competitive ?...and yes, im in a healthy way ...he lost the competition with me . I discarded him was better 😂

I feel sorry for them. They were damaged early on, through no fault of their own. Still… having been a victim of their abuse, I loathe what they do.

And when he was mad his accent became super heavy and I couldn’t always understand everything so I’d nicely ask him to repeat it. Which turned into “why are you the only person who can’t understand me?” I stayed so long because I knew he had a traumatic childhood (as did I) so I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I was going to therapy and was actively working on healing myself which he refused to do. I finally gave up bc clearly he thought he could do no wrong and I was the source of all the problems no matter what I did/said etc. Once I figured out me even having any opinion on anything became an issue, it helped solidify that it wasn’t me it was him. Now he is back to living with his mommy and they can be besties again lol

A lot of people these don’t want to take responsibility for their actions and it’s constant attention seeking.

Re: continuing the cycle with the next person…YES! He literally lives out the exact same plot line with EVERY girl. Activities, quotes, songs, topics of conversation, excuses as to why prior relationships didn’t work, etc. etc. And believe me, there are/were hundreds during our time together.

Indeed! They've memorized a script and use it, verbatim, with every single one of their victims. Exact same words, actions, etc. It is as if he puts on the exact same outfit on different mannequins, because that's all we are to them, disposable, interchangeable and replaceable mannequins. No one is special, or different to them, just novelty that after a while wears off, becomes too familiar, boring and perhaps of little to no use at all. My narc was exactly like yours. I actually overheard one of his phone conversation with one of his victims telling her exact same words he had used with me and his prior victims. I felt sorry for the poor sucker, or who knows, maybe she's using him too for her own benefit. Maybe she'll be his Karma.

I've been with a narnasist for nearly 8 years he was perfect ti start with showered me with gifts last year has been horrible he was cold verbally abusive relationship played mind games ofton that I thought I was going mad but it was hime playing mind games with his texting would never ring me always texting me having a go at me texting it's my thought with everything I really loved this man with my heart done everything for hime he was my world then out of the blue he stopped texting me doing the silent treatment not responding to my messeges nothing but silence he was always dissapearing through the years I was dating hime he was a flamboyant lier to controlling me what I eat what to wear he was controlling me he was hard work nearly 8 years dating I got nothing back from hime I loved hime very much indeed now he has blanked my taxes no reply from hime nothing

The last trick on me was to rob my house of thousands of dollars in cash, collectables, furnishings, keyed my truck, smeared me to the neighbors and abandoned our children.

Omg ty, ive been feeling so down so lost, i have a child with a narcist, she deflects all important questions about us, no work done to improve self, i constantly be put down as a father, theres so much. Im so glad for this video, everything your saying is like you were in the relationship. These ppl are very dangerous like you said they use everything against you. Yes the picture being painted is like im doing this n that, i have been apologizing for yrs, yet not once a genuine apology from her. Bring up the hurt n pain i got, ita ignored, its my phone is dying etc. Im thankful for this video, i used to think i was alone in this, she has moved on, then i realized shes only damaging another person. This is a demonic cycle, no self-awareness.

Before the narc husband left, he amped up his cruelty to a whole new level. He did not care to keep the mask in place anymore. And even after he left, I had no idea what NPD was and still begged him to come back. Funnily, after he left, he started bombarding me with articles and videos on NPD......and I got to realise what I had gone through and the kind of disordered and evil person I had been involved with. I went in shock and cried myself to exhaustion when the reality of what I endured for 24 years sank in. Finally things started to make sense and I could actually start on my healing journey. The withdrawal from the trauma bond was insanely painful but I did it. Four years in my healing and I'm in a much better place. I see his discard as a blessing in disguise. I was finally free.

I do believe I’m the most hated woman in America, possibly the world. All because right before he was about to leave the general public was kind to me. "They are not themselves". Bingo. Since my narc has revealed her affliction, she is another person. I have zero chance of reaching the person she was just before she went ballistic on me in my living room. You can't be predictable with these demons. Fight back and make it hurt. And remember, you didn't lose them, they lost you.

I just ended a relationship with a narcissistic female....I was out when I seen the switch and realized she really had personal issues...there was no reasoning with her, no clarity you could logically enlighten her to see...it was horrible, not to mention the suspicion of her infidelity....thats when I knew it was time to leave and I did before she could even blink

Thank you for putting into words what I've been trying to level out in my head for the past 12 months. I had an understanding of her trauma the way she grew up. She done me wrong but now I can put it to rest, forgive her and forget her.

This rings a bell, not only as far as any romantic relationship with a narcissist is concerned (and I definitely had my share of them!), but I experienced the same with my late N-mother. Her very last words to me before she died were set up to destroy me, even if - or rather because - facing death she had no other way to make sure that I would not "move on", not leave her abuse behind me, that I would not "win" this ridiculous competition she had set up between us from my birth onwards. This is a manipulation so easy to see through but at the same time so, so hard to free oneself of. You are so right, it is "an easy escape for them", even if it is the very last one. Like in the tale of the frog and the scorpion she simply could not resist.

This was a really good take.. One of the most refreshing points of view I've heard from any narc speaker as of late. I believe I was raised by a narcissistic mother and I developed many narcissistic tendencies but at the same time I kept my ability to have empathy. I'm very grateful for that honestly. Man I really needed to hear this!! Im no doctor but I believe my ex has has strong borderline and narcissistic traits. Once I learned about I.D.D. I realized this is exactly what happened to me. She made me feel like I was the best thing that ever happened to her, I personally had never felt this good in a relationship. Then boom, she pulled the rug out from under me without any warning. She strongly valued me like I’ve never been valued before, then all the sudden I was of no value to her. She also started talking to someone else while her and I were on the outs. She kept me around just long enough to move on with the next guy and completely destroy me. Here I am a month later and my mind is still going crazy. I realize now this is right where she wants me. Man im so happy I came across this video. Thank God for KZread. God Bless

@@Lex12102007 yeah. I understand. In my opinion I believe that my ex has both narcissistic traits and bpd traits. She became very selfish, it’s was all about her and her needs, once her needs weren’t being met, and she couldn’t control me, she dipped. She also believed that she had zero fault in the demise of our relationship. She fooled me real good. But my eyes are wide open now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I fell victim after 18 years of marriage. I never saw it coming but when it did or just before her bomb exploded on me, I filed for divorce, what happened when she got the serving, I'd never wish anyone to go through it We are in court but separated I believe for ever.

Omg! This is so precise! I couldn't agree more! When he discarded me it was effing horrible! I have never seen anything like it in my life... he painted me some kind of evil monster to everyone and his friends and was even so convinced of his own lies! He believs his own lies as if like it's so real Just so he can escape.. he brought me down to my knees.. crying and crying never taking responsibility of everything...knowing he is the evil one along with his best mate.. and his flying monkeys who doesn't know the story believed him and even promoted the break up and believed I'm insane.. he made it appear that I was some psycho.. I have been with him for 5 years..and it was just one day.. boom .. he broke up with me by text, I was in disbelief...till he made me chase him down to ask questions, and I was walking on eggshells the ntire time because everytime I call him out of something, he goes silent treatment me.. it was so effin horrible it went like that for 6 months, he was hoovering me and hoovering me until he just finally discarded me like I am some object.. I was such a good woman to hi... I hate it.. its so traumatic, I remember one night, I was trembling in so much fear, I thought I was having a heart attack and self blaming.. and trying to get through him.. It was so hirrible..

My niece is a narcissist! She 'gaslighted' me twice... after the second time I 'warned her' - "Third time & you are OUT!" It wasn't two weeks after 'the warning' and she DID IT AGAIN! I haven't had anything to do with her in two years!💕 No matter what she gets her mother to say to me; goes in one ear and out the other🙃!

Before the last discard, she called the cops on me. She was trying to provoke me for weeks, by cutting of water supply to my washroom and locking up the kitchen. Once i lashed out, she became the victim, called the cops, told them i was going to kill her. She also made them convinced iam an addict and use meth, beat her daily, was terrorizing her and asking money all the time by putting a knife to her throat. She is my MOTHER and then she threw my out the house.

Part of the ultimate stomping of your self-esteem during the discard, may be to make it harder for you to find another person with the more difficult recovery factor. Like tripping someone at the starting blocks to the narc's advantage. I never was concerned at the Narc's competitive spirit, but when It crossed over to target the one who supported her-- Wow!

Damn. I just sat with a girl three weeks every night. Abandonment issues, survival mode, dominant , uses cocain, Trauma. She kept tryna to get a rise out of me and kept tryna bully me and win every argument like a child!! Tantrums and episodes and stuck it out lol She never wanted to be by myself so she would rotate different men to give her attention !! Crazy this very very very true! I’ve been on KZread for years and this video is spot on. The walls were up and down up and down!!

He told me don’t let anyone in the house and don’t let anyone touch you. He said we have to get our lives right with God so we can come back together. And then moved 4 hours away.

So so true, it’s sad and frustrating as heck but there’s nothing you can do for them or about it… 🥴

This is the thing I was always wondering about! Is there really no way to help them? My girlfriend is a narcissist - she is cold, mean even cruel at moments (she was not in the beggining of course), but I see how all this is coming from her bad childhood. And this is what really breaks my hearth - I don't deserve her bad behavior, but I know where it comes from and just want to help her, because there must be a way!

The worst things was opening up and telling my thoughts, fears and insecurities for them to use them against me and poke and prod before the discard. I’ll never lay that all out again as it’s happened time and time again. It a shame to not be able to open up or be vulnerable with someone now.

I recently came up to an elloquent motto: The game is called egoism... Whoever wins...loses... Narcs lose them all, included themselves...

I was with one for 27 years. She built a whole life on top of me. And everyone I know helped her. I even said she had 2 lives and she said so a lot of people do. I kind of think the victim is in fight flight or freeze so they don't get abused. Great point on the walls. Everyone is on that side of the wall and I am on the other side. Another good point on what you tell them in confidentiality and they use it against me. Some of them build a life and get away with devaluing and discarding for an entire life time. It all depends on the power they accumulate. There are cults of these people who think that is what makes the world go around. They believe it so it's true to them. There is millions and billions of dollars that the cult is in control of. Pretty soon their money will be trillions and more homeless than ever.

I believe so… my daughters and I once saw his eyes and they were glowing yellow. No joke. We all were taken back and couldn’t believe it. All of us, our stomachs turned. It was real. His eyes were not him and we all saw it! I truly believe they aren’t human or lost their humanity and suck peoples’ energies dry. Only those who go through narc abuse would agree, it’s not a personality disorder, it’s something else and it’s evil!

I still feel traumatized by my half siblings especially the eldest.
