When it comes to why there is hardly any spof movies now adays. The answer is simple potential lawsuits because if you copy something. Remotely small from another movie they you can potentially sue you. Wich was not really common when this movie was made. But now adays some like say Disney just for one example. Will sue in a second so spof movies are extremely risky nowadays. Now when it comes to straight up comedy movies an comedy in general. You have to have bolls of steel so to speak to make one thats actually funny. Because you're going to piss people off because they don't understand a joke is a joke. For one thing then comedy is a art form some people think just someone saying something random is funny as hell. When its not its just someone saying something random. Basically they don't understand comedy timing . They think someone just randomly saying like pie is funny. So to make a good comedy you need good timing an balls off steel. Then when it comes to the Naked Gun movies. You just have to go with it also you will miss an are missing a lot of jokes . The only way to notice them is to watch the Police Squad TV series that consists of 6 episodes. They reused them in the Necked Gun MOVIES.
