The N.W.A Beef - What Happened?

NWA is one the most legendary musical groups of all time made up of Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella but eventually they all split up and even had beef with each other. Today we breakdown what happened in the break up of NWA.

Well it’s a known fact easy E and Jerry were finessing the others of NWA out of money and production rights they tricked them to sign the contracts but ice cube could see it was wrong and left it took Dre and Ren and DOC longer to realise what Jerry and Easy E were doing so the regret in his voice is his own he screwed over his friends. Exactly! I think E wanted to be a business man so bad that Jerry was willing to teach him. Cause where he’s from how many black people have there own business? Not a lot so he looked at that as an opportunity. But maybe he also wasn’t thinking about his group during the time cause he was young. A lot of feelings were thrown at each other between the disses against each other of NWA. So you know there was love for each other. Luckily every group that saw that? Like Wu Tang and The Lox? They didn’t do that to each other but same time it was tension within the groups especially Wu Tang but not too much of The Lox. Which is a reason they didn’t do a lot of albums together. They took breaks here and there

@ Scru Face Jeano your 1000% correct La was the birthplace of what we call Gangster rap but back then it’s was “reality rap” with artists like ice T and Jesse Bonds Weaver Jr aka Schoolly D really being the first Artists to do it in that style and that was in the late 80s, it’s spread to California with artists NWA and Tupac then Dr Dre and snoop came at it in 1992 adding the Gfunk sound we all know and love with gangster rap making the whole genre mainstream

Too Short was rapping about bitches, money and pimpin representing Oakland since the early 80s .As a matter of fact I don't think Short Dog got much radio play , ever because he is extremely vulgar but he makes it all sound so cool and glamorous to be a pimp. This guy went double platinum and before getting signed sold '"custom tapes " outta the truck of his car. Tapes about an individual in the hood. Could be a pimp or a drug dealer and they would pay Too Short for the tapes he made for them. Too Short has collaborated with many other great artists (rappers) but always remaining loyal to his region and legion of fans. I mean he did trademark the word BIIIITCH!!!😂

A brutal diss at Roxanne Shante. But in my opinion as of now Hit'em Up and Either stand by themselves at the top!

The whole NWA persona and dress came from E. So it’s all pieces of a Puzzle.

Stop telling people that Eazy E and N.W.A invented gangster rap, since Schoolly D and Kool G Rap were doing it long before N.W.A was on the hip hop scene. However, N.W.A did bring West Coast rap to the forefront, for which they deserve credit.

  • @jokerofmorocco

It's hard to know who invented it because gangster rap would've started underground where it slowly gained popularity. However, what is known is NWA popularized gangster rap and made it mainstream. For which they deserve all the credit.
