    When my friend went on testosterone and got to the point in their transition where they were most comfortable they started experimenting way more with their sexuality, he said he felt like dating men made him more dysphoric and had tried it but ultimately felt like he had to date women to feel valid as a man or "masculine" I'm so fucking happy he can be himself now. I can't wait for a world where we all collectively understand that being gay is normal and valid and masculine! Also I love this channel so much, so so many positive vibes. My hands and feet grew after I started T, but I'm still the same height. I started T in my 30's so, I definitely should have finished growing a while ago. Sucks that I don't fit in any of my favorite shoes anymore. I went up a size in gloves, I really have to squeeze my hands into my old work gloves when I'm gathering firewood.

    that's cool I wish my hands grew but I don't think it did I started at 18 and I noticed that my face got longer because I couldn't fit into a average adult mask with my costume I usually ware for Halloween and I was 5'6" when I started now I'm 5"8' how long have you been on T? because a lot can still change in your 30's

    @@Bloody_Corpses I started T in December of 2017, I was 31 at the time. My hands and feet had been the same size for all of my adult life and then suddenly I couldn't fit into my shoes and my gloves got really tight. Still 5'7" though, that didn't change, sadly.

    It CAN be true that testosterone will make you a little bit taller and your hands and feet a little bit bigger. It’s not true for everyone though. Testosterone causes the cartilage in your joint (and nose) to expand. Personally I didn’t grow any taller but my hands and feet are significantly bulkier. Taking testosterone while you’re still growing (before your epiphyseal plates seal) actually causes your growth to be stunted which is one of the reasons why we don’t typically give testosterone to young teens.

  • @SamSwitz

    @SamSwitz

    4 жыл бұрын

    TeeDubable right, bulkier doesn’t mean bigger though. Like, they oftentimes get wider from gaining muscle and such, but I was saying your actual BONES don’t grow on testosterone :) weird how a lot of trans guys’ feet do grow on T though...it’s incredibly common haha, I’m not sure why or how but whatevs 🤘🏼

    I am a student of life; and the last few weeks, I have been "studying" this subject of transitioning in all it's forms and derivatives! I have come to the conclusion that, despite the present struggles of you all on the front lines, at this point in history, that there is great potential for future progress: most notably the potential, and perhaps, inevitable progression of the perception of gender, not as a vertical ascending or descending position in society, or as a privilege vs. a disadvantage; but rather, simply a horizontal DIRECTION, in which anyone may choose to have the freedom to stay constant or feel free to change.

    This is my personal experience. Whether testosterone makes you angry or not I think it should be determined by others and not yourself because it's the behavior you project onto others. I have had a few friends that were on testosterone. They usually get more aggressive during the first week. When I brought it up to them, they all flat denied it but I know what I saw. So I think the answer to that question will depend on who is answering it and how they define anger or aggressive.

And how much you been pay for the lab per time? , sorry to asking you about your personal stuff ,I have no idea and I really need some help to get a better Insurance To cover the lab work Because the one I hold it make the price way too high! like $700 per time!!! Well I did learn something important (and kind of disappointing) from this video didn't realise your voice could take that long to settle 😔.... I was hoping that would be one of the first changes because its my voice that is my main barrier to me "passing "at the moment. Its good to have that knowledge though so I will try not to give up hope if I don't quickly experience a voice drop. I'm hoping to have enough money to start private gender care and testosterone next year so I'm trying to find as much info as I can to be prepared. Thanks for being so informative in your videos 😊

    crazy cat i mean, my voice got to the pitch it is probably within 1.5 years? But didn’t settleeee (without wobbles, cracks, etc) to where it was super stable and what it’ll be for the long term until a bit after that. I say this to remind you that my voice BASICALLY got to my pitch within the first year and the whole next 2 years it evened out and settled. It didn’t take 3 years to get to a low pitch...does that make sense? Heck, the one barrier I had was my voice too and I passed after just like 4-6ish months! Keep your head up, you definitely will pass with your voice within the year I bet. Everyone’s journey is different too:) much love my friend, I hope you get to start T ASAP! 💙

    Testosterone didn't make me gay, but during that teenage growing pains at my big age of 24 (at the time, like 4 years ago)... I did ended extending my sexual experiences to men, due to libido being on fire. After it calmed back down, I was straight again lol I didn't LIKE men, it was... I enjoyed certain things I never needed before. My porn categories changed as well.

    OMG, EVERYONE has testosterone...it’s just that men generally have more testosterone and lower levels of estrogen...and women generally have more estrogen and lower levels of testosterone. When women go through menopause, their estrogen levels dip and they have more testosterone..,that’s why, when you hear your grandma speak, she often has a lower/deeper voice because of this change. Little known fact, men also have a menopause...but it’s called “andropause”, and like everything else in the world, women got the short end of the stick (and that’s why I was raised to revere women...’cause despite often getting the short of the stick, they still get as much as we men get done...and do even more! My mom and grandmas were all so freakin’ amazing!). What I mean by that is our symptoms aren’t as pronounced and extreme as those of women going through menopause. Last side note, andropause typically happens about a decade before women go through menopause...so around their mid-to-late 40s...and we colloquially call it a “mid-life crisis,. PS - I’m pretty skeptical about your foot growing, It could be that the muscles and fascia in your foot have increased and the overall size of your foot has gotten bigger, I’m just a little skeptical ‘cause the epiphyseal plates in your feet should’ve fused into your bones by the time your teenage years have passed...and since they’re your “growth” plates, they generally tell your body to grow...and if they’re not active anymore I can’t see how you would’ve grown.

    hmarc417 Hi, I see that you never got your answer, so I am going to answer with what I can. If you get a gender dysphoria diagnosis, a lot of insurances will cover both HRT and surgeries. Since gender dysphoria is a mental health condition insurance companies are able to cover “treatment” for it (ex. HRT and surgeries)

    Just like cisgender people can be straight, gay, lesbian, bi, etc. It works the same for transgender people. The reason why some trans people might shift in their sexuality is because they're more comfortable and confident with themselves so they end up opening themselves to others.

    I don't know if this helps explain the "anger" thing, but I'm a cis gay guy who had to go on prednisone, briefly, a few years ago. Like prednisonse, testosterone is a steroid. I did find myself getting slightly more irritated at things that I would already, baseline, have found irritating. But there was just once where I said something about being irritated where I otherwise would have just let it go. So, one bitchy comment. That hardly qualifies as 'roid rage. LOL!! Taking T makes you gay? Hadn't heard that one. Taking T doesn't alter your sexual orientation. If you were attracted to women before you took T to pass as a man, you will continue to be attracted to women after you transition, and since you will still have a female urogenital system, you will probably continue to engage in the same kinds of homoerotic behaviors you engaged in with women before you transitioned.

    Bro, I appreciate your work on yt, but not everything you said is correct. Especially what you said about the second myth. Testosterone changes the brain. The sexuality can be changed by testosterone (what does not mean that it necessarily changes your sexuality!). At least this is what my cousin told me. She transgender, too. And also, she is a doctor who is specialized on these issues (hormones etc). So I think the information she gave me is correct. No hate, I like your vids and I can learn a lot from you!
