Disclaimer: If any of my videos is going to get copyright striked, it's probably this one. Since there is only like.. two images per creature I couldn't be as picky with my choices, but I just wanted to point out that I do not own any of the images used in the video. My internal justification is that it is for educational purposes, so it should be fine, but who knows.

Giant animals in general are epic. Think about anything prehistoric, giant Lizards like megalania, awesome, massive arthropods like meganura, Arthroplura, and massive scorpions, nature likes to make everything prehistoric giant, want giant birds in real life, the largest one was argentavis, a Titan, or want a bigger albatross, pslegornis, want a giant fish, leedsichthees, giant animals are awesome, and they exist to, or at least they did before they all went extinct, but any animal made bigger is cooler.

Not all stories from the 1,001 Arabian Nights were apart of the original. The french decided to combine other found books in the Middle East since most of the stories from the 1,001 are lost. These published stories were a big hit in France, and Frenchmen went on a hunt to find more hidden books/stories to add to the collection.

This is fun, thanks so much. The world has some pretty cool stories, doesn't it.
The thing about snakes IMO is simply that of all the creatures on earth they seen to have a nature very alien to ours. They’re cold blooded, they have no feet or arms, they’re often predatory and even venomous, they swallow things whole without chewing, they sit perfectly still like background objects and don’t have any natural flowiness of movement, etc. We can instinctively see familiarities in many other creatures, that despite their strange nature we identify with. Mammals are the best example but even many reptiles at least have arms legs toes, and such. Even bugs at least have limbs. Either that or maybe the Devil really became a serpent at some point and we just happen to still hold a grudge!

Nice take love it. From what understand about snakes, is the fact, that they live above earth and then enter the underworld earth. Living dead if you like, also cold blooded!
Great work, I hope you can include AlGhoul and Ifreet and other creatures you may have missed in a second part and maybe the mythological creatures in the Gulf like Bū Daryā which was a sea monster that hides in sailors ships and eats the pearlers and Himarat AlGayla which was a half human half donkey monster that only feeds on children.

I remember as a kid watching a cartoon based on sinbad during school time with my class, there were many episodes going over the stories and it is animated very well. Not to mention the art style bears a resemblance to anime? Well at least from my view point.
very nice
The thing about giant birds is fascinating. I mean, in many places there actually did use to be huge birds that some time or other coincided with humans (moas...) , and early hominids were prey to others (Turkana Boy...). But somehow it makes me think that, knowing dinosaur fossils but not evolution and unable to reconstruct dinosaurs from them, people nevertheless saw a connection.
