Lyrics:
the mystery of a burning fire
a single life upon a pyre
you must look close to see it right
from the start, from the start
a sudden flash along a wire
begins the life upon the pyre
and if you're quick you'll catch a glimpse
of the start, of the start
and with a burst of violet blue
the spell came slowly over you
you could not peel your eyes away
from the flame, from the flame
and as the fire grows and grows
you feel as if the fire knows
your fascination, joy, and fear
for the flame, for the flame
you see now
but how this cold truth
this great fire
will go out, will go out
a sudden flash and you're alone
as if the earth were all your own
you're left with mystery in your mind
the mystery of a burning fire

I used to think I was cutting edge because I discovered Knower in 2017
Genevieve's ability to hit such tricky intervals with surgical precision just melts my brain.
ultra sick bass line
Still fresh.

Opened it back up 3 years after you and took a big wiff. Can confirm it's still fresh.
LOUIS AND GENEVIEVE TRANSCEND TIME!!!
Love this song so much. The fusion of cool South american bossa vibes in Genevieve's vocals and electronica kicks ass. I keep returning to it time and time again.
I love your sound. It's so different, interesting, and so enjoyable to listen to.
those vocal interludes remind me so much of Stereolab :')
You guys are so odd. And so incredible. Louis, your drumming blows my mind.
Some of the melody reminds me of old jazz my mom used to sing. it's the right phrasing somehow to make me remember it but not enough to pinpoint it exactly.
Is there no instrument you can't play!? I'm so cellos!
Reminds me of creepy music videos I've seen laaate at night on tv when I was young. Love it.
the choral parts always get me
this is my favourite knower song
ART, ART, GREAT ARTISTS!
Underated gem
I think we all know have experienced the thing she depicts. It's so transcendent.

that crazy drum fill comes in at 2:19 like outt nowhere, crazy fill.....this is sick !!!!
This songs so mystical, I love it
absolutely fantastic
verrrrrrry nice! love the saxophone solo!
🔥❤️💙
First video that I saw of this impresive pair of musicians some-some years ago. Now revisiting it and with retrospective , I think that this is one of their best songs with a lot of the music I like: Crazy Funk, Bossa (what a melodies, what an organs!), impresive counterpoint in the middle (best of the 99% of the contemporary music does), sense of houmour, wild, sensibility & mistery... But now I realize that this video, sure some day, will be a reference how play drums 'ahead tempo' (contrary to the 'delayed tiempo' that black music, waporwave uses today). Forever in me heart, forever in me head...
Now that's an awesome video. I definitely recommend this album.
The amount of saturation you put into your mixes is so good.
The production is insanely good for this time. Art that withstands time is beautiful

Experimental progressive pop. Reminds mit to an early Jacob Collier song „The Arrow and the Song“
This is the anthem for when you and your friend(s) get up from a video game binge for the first time in 7 hours at like 11 at night in October and proceed to run like lunatics down the streets, fueled by a lack of sleep and adrenaline.
Ok So I've listening to this song on repeat for an hour straight I haven't done that with 1 song in ages

I want to take Vikram to the prom.
same here;-)
The clips of the party make me wonder what the hell is going on.
nice.
Crikes!
@BTbass Are you kidding?? The poor quality of the video is intentional, maybe they've copied it with an old and worn VHS or Beta VCR to make this effect. In their earlier videos there is no problem with quality, so they already have a good camcorder :)
Hey!Great,as always!Knowers, what's that dome mike, you're using in most of your music?
