How many watts does it use

Hello! Thanks for the demonstration! Just now opened mine and got a small roast started. Question: In the "cooking" mode, is the lid tight enough that steam isn't being let out? It appears to just sit on the top very lightly. I know the instructions say that the handle needs to be positioned towards the back. Guess I was thinking there should be a tighter fit. Thanks! Lenore BTW.....I think I'm going to love this!! I'm not a camper but I still wanted it!! :)

If you pull the handle up in the lock position thin it will seal just fine.

Have you used crockpot liners with this? I ask because I wonder how different the metal insert is compared to the traditional ceramic bowl.

he 06012 Presto® Nomad® traveling slow cooker operates at the following: warm = 40 watts, low = 235 watts, high = 275 watts.

how many watts does it draw I have 400 watts solar n 100 watt battery wonder if I could use it w that I am a newbie,,,

Learned that one the hard way a few years back.

I heard that this thing can spontaneously explode due to the pressure. Not safe around small children in case they fall into it. Also it should have come with its own marker. Thumbs down from us at Particular Mechanics (TM)

There's a vent hole on top, it's a slow cooker and not a pressure cooker. It did come with the marker, I left it on the cooker while it was cooking and the marker dried out. What is Particular Mech.? I can't find anything with your name.
