Composer Dan Forrest has set this wonderful poetry to music in our opening number, The Music of Living.
Giver of life, Creator of all that is lovely,
Teach me to sing the words to Your song.
I want to feel the music of living,
And not fear the sad songs.
But from them make new songs,
Composed of both laughter and tears.
Our music embraces the many seasons of life and the songs that accompany and enrich each of those seasons. We sing about the beginning of life, the joys and challenges we experience, and the heartache of losing someone we hold dear. We sing of friendships, children, falling in love, falling out of love, and changes in ourselves. Above all, we sing about the hope and sense of belonging that is ever present in the tapestries of our lives.
