@@potterheadproductions5526 Saw it on a plane. Subpar action movie at best. And a horrible "mummy" movie. The mummy was so incredibly cool back in the day, because it mixed a bit of horror, action and comedy and had a solid protagonist that delivered on all fronts. The reboot just has Tom Cruise do his standard Tom Cruise bit, which is just doing action, insisting on his own stunts and having the same "huh" face for both horror and comedic purposes. Additionally it doesn't make sense on a lot of fronts and instead of leaning into the comedy/popcorn cinema aspect the old movie did at that point, it just tries to go "oh, it's mummy magic, that's why I lived through a fucking plane crash". Then it just inserts some dead dude all the time, like it's trying to be pet sematary and Mr. Hyde is also in this movie for some reason? They just tried too much and failed at all of it. The only thing it has over the original is graphics, but it's been like 30 years. And the mummy in the first movie didn't even look that terrible.

To be fair, wrapping someone in bandages and burying them isn't mummifying them. It's just entombment with bandages. No mummification is happening in that situation since it requires removing a lot of vital organs which would, you know, kill you. Same reason why people usually didn't get buried alive because of undertakers.

Oh god I remember I used to play this weird-ass game with my dad. It gets weirder but somehow also better over time, and the game never bothered to explain that you get those red throwing bomb thingies for every four random artifacts you collect, no idea how I figured that one back in the day. They really put a lot of work into a game most would assume is just shovelware, quite a lot of enemy variety, at least for the time.

Everything about this video is absolute gold, love the picture you put up too. Please continue omg I laughed so hard.
