Yeah, smuggling is the shit. Trading is so petty compared with smuggling. Even if you got caught it's beneficial as you can gain combat exp. Also, there's no moral issue as you correctly roleplay as a pirate.

Nerys Stuart Look up stuff about dutch people. We don’t live in flower fields and walk around in clogs(?). Dutch people generally use bicycles to get around more than most others in the world. We’re not very delicate in our way of talking usually? Not sure how to describe it. We get tall as hell. We also eat a lot of food as stew/hotchpot or something

I can whole-heartily recommend this game with a mod called New Horizon. To this day this game with that mod is probably the best pirate game ever released. I would love to watch Kevin stream this!

There, Sea Dogs is called Corsairs and Pirates of the Caribbean is Corsairs II. There's also Age of Pirates: Caribbean Tales, Age of Pirates 2: City of Abandoned Ships, and Sea Dogs: To Each His Own, which are also sequels to the original Sea Dogs.

korvenett Disney bought Corsairs 2 0.99beta and labeled them Pirates of the Caribbean. Full game was released much later in a much more refined state.

Glad that you've liked this game. Another pirate game you might like is Sid Meier's Pirates if you haven't already tried it.

Back in the day, when it was a new game, I played the hell out of it. It was a lot of fun. Hasn't stood the test of time very well, but believe me, in the early 2000s it was impressive in all ways.

It was a series, but the sequels aren't very good. It is actually like mount and blade at sea, but there's also open world on-foot exploration and dungeons like in Elder Scrolls games. It's a really fun game, aged surprisingly well apart from the bizarre controls

If you play it with the Build Mod it is the best pirate game there is, better than the "sequels", the mod changes everything and tries to have historical accuracy, different eras and careers like a Naval Officer.
