The multiverse may be bigger than we thought. The idea that we exist in just one of a massive collection of alternate universes has really captured the public imagination in the last decade. But now Hugh Everett’s 60-year-old “many worlds interpretation”, based on quantum mechanics, has been upgraded.
The northern white rhino is on the brink of extinction but we may be able to save it. Scientists plan to use frozen genes from 12 now dead rhinos to rebuild the entire subspecies. But how do you turn skin cells into actual rhinos and will it work?
A single-celled alga has done something thought to have happened just three times in the entire history of life on Earth. Braarudosphaera bigelowii has formed a unique bond with a bacterium living inside it and has developed a new cellular structure. This organelle may be why this alga became so successful and widespread.
We’ve got a new way of looking for aliens without having to go planet hopping. The method involves scouting the universe for planets that are close together and look similar to each other - hinting that an advanced civilisation may have colonised them.
We’ve had the orbits of the planets turned into music, we’ve heard the sonification of data and even heard what a black hole sounds like. This time, it’s the turn of mushrooms.     It's important to remember that all possible worlds of the multiverse may include only one version of you if pilot wave theory is correct. Conceivability is not possibility.

    Just over 100 years ago the milky way was the universe. Then Hubble pointed out the multiple galaxies that existed. The cosmic microwave backgroud could be the plasma bubble (ionosphere) around our multi galatic bubble. Many bubbles could exist in the universe?

    For many worlds interpretation to be true the wave function doesn't collapse however Roger Penrose says that the wave function HAS to collapse or everything would be "Quantum" (wavy).What he means by this is that the wave function HAS to collapse or there wouldn't be solid physical matter

    MWI is only one type of possible multiverse, along with the inflationary universe, and the very real relativistic cosmic horizon multiverse.

    Here is my attempt to express the expansion from the conventional spacetime 3+1 cube to the full metaphysical framework culminating in Metatron's Cube, using a unified mathematical language: Let's begin with the standard 3+1 dimensional spacetime manifold (M4, g) with metric g describing the geometry of our observable universe. This local region can be represented as a 4-cube or hypercube I4 embedded in a higher dimensional bulk: I4 ⊂ M = R10,1 Where M is an 11-dimensional pseudoEuclidean bulk spacetime as required by M-theory. The extra dimensions may be compactified on a Calabi-Yau 7-manifold or G2-holonomy space. Now consider the totality U of all possible 3+1 brane universes (analogous to I4) that can be embedded in M as 4-dimensional timelike submanifolds: U = {Bu,4 | Bu,4 ⊂ M} Parallel universes would correspond to different brane embeddings Bu',4 ≅ Bu,4 with similar induced geometries. We can define a muliversal quantum state |Ψ> ∈ H⥙, the Hilbert space of the full non-perturbative M-theory, encoding all possible universal configurations: |u> = Pu|Ψ> |Ψ> obeys the full quantum dynamics dictated by the action functional of M-theory, with possible quantum parallel transport effects around closed cycles in M shifting the phase of |Ψ>.     @oliviamaynard9372 Nonsense.There is no maths involved. By definition there can be no connection between this universe and another one. Therefore there can be no proof/evidence that a parallel universe exists. Any mathematical 'proof' can only be theoretical. Much like the 'fact' that maths permits 11 dimensions - it has no real world significance.
