Well, this is direct-to-video series. They only released on VHS or DVD instead of tv airing hence they got a lot of time to animate the scenes in the highest details and smoother animation which borderline movie quality.

I gotta say these old style gundam shows are great, the mobile suits feel like they have weight.

No anime fighting since the early 2000's has had much weight or inertia. They swing the camera around rendered backgrounds and have higher detail drawings in many cases but the direction in most things is pretty bad.

@@Joshua_N-A I know they had many GM Quels, which are basically GM Customs, who'd be better than Powered GMs. I don't know which was their absolute most common unit though. There were also lots of Hizacks and Marasais and more.

@@TheKing-qz9wd The Titans used Hizacks most often, regular EFF also had some Hizacks but also a lot of upgraded GM II units. I think the idea wasthe Hizack was supposed to replace the GM II eventually, but the Titans got priority on the Hizacks and any extras trickled into the EFF.

Outed dated suits were more prone to have a lower resistance to damage. Dudw simply exploded from debre exploding a few meters from his Gelgoog.

Remember when Lt. Burning's GM Custom exploded due to a round jamming a mechanism and causing a catastrophic chain reaction? I think the Heat Hawk shredded some important cables and led to the Dom's reactor overloading and finally, exploding.

I just realized that the Dom obliterated the powered GM and the Zaku II F2 put it out with the heat hawk. Interesting touch.

Nice to see you still uploading again though this channel has died again hope we see more videos soon and hope to see the old ones too like the Hazel one

I built this HG EFF Zaku recently. I'm glad I used a brown panel marker to bring out the tan color scheme that's more accurate to the anime.

Remember Zaku ii actually good mobility and balance but the axe laser is completely lack of energy unlike saber beam and the worst is, Zaku ii armor are weak, it's not long duration, it's cheap armor, even tank, guntank, guncannon and GM can penetrate armor Zaku ii especially guntank Vulcan machine gun hand can penetrate armor Zaku ii. It's different Zaku ii red comet upgrade and customise Zaku ii by char aznable, it's upgrade mobility reaction more faster than normal Zaku, truster has been upgraded or boosting truster to get more faster, Zaku red is faster and more agile just like legendary mobile suit Gundam

Zakus don't have "laser axes" ._. It's a heat hawk, a physical tomahawk which heats thanks to the energy supplied by the zaku's hand.
