698 MONO DESERT SLED!
for homologation purposes the winglets in the rc990 makes sense when KTM wants to obliterate the supersport class in racing. you watch the Yamaha R9 will also have winglets because of homologation to race in supersport class, otherwise they're not competitive.
Thanks For the shout out guys. I did actually build the 996 in my garage with pretty much just hand tools. I outsourced the paint but in the end I managed to get it to where it was at the show for about $6000. Its about to have its first track day at COTA so fingers crossed my handywork hold up.
I'd like to see a Desert X 'lite'. Desert Sled with a small fairing and that semi retro-dakar style. Doesn't need to be a serious off road bike, but that kind of styling.
I'm in! My dream base bike would be the BMW K100RS and I would do many things to make it a proper café racer like custom black and chrome spoked wheels, brown diamond pattern leather seat, brushed aluminium tank with a brown leather strap, dark gold wrapped headers, front Ohlin's suspension and probably an LED custom front headlight to make it a bit more usable at night. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work guys!
Really like this new moto news format guys 👍
Gotta be the 698 super-quadro single pot engine!
I'm in. My choice to custom a 916 Ducati.
I'm in. Dream bike would be 916. It was too cool when I was young.
I’m in and its gotta be an Ariel Atom with custom cantilever front forks, customised with carbon fibre tank mud guard, custom hand stitched leather seat in tobacco brown, and a full on metallic deep see through sea green so you can see the carbon through it and custom gold coach lines, Perfection in my eyes. 👍
I'm in My dream bike would be a totally ratted Honda Goldwing 1800, would have to be DCT and capable of off road
My dream bike would be the 23 scrambler XC with a environment unfriendly tuning with no electronic limiter. 115 isn't fast enough
Winglets are mostly useless on any bike below track speeds. BUT, that said, theoretically, you could argue that they actually make more sense on naked bikes (especially super-nakeds) to help tame wheelies and aid braking/front-end grip due to the riding position with less weight over the front end. Not that I'd make that argument vehemently myself. And, of course, not all winglets/aero bits are there to provide downforce.
I’m in. Was in Lind triumph last year they had a custom T120 jacked up scrambler style that would be my choice.
For the Ducati's I liked the cafe version they had didn't care about the name, I just liked the premium seat and side panel with the number, and I liked the desert sled. Two very different styles of the scrambler. I think the current look of the scrambler is a bit boring. Winglets aren't really needed on a bike outside of motogp, the camouflage paint livery looks cool, the winglets themselves look fine but not really necessary unless you're a pro rider and then I don't know what you're doing watching youtube videos for advice here lol, even if you're a casual track guy riding to the track and back home you don't need winglets. Then on the R9t I love the look, I'm not entirely sure how well a leaf spring would be for the ride.... don't want to be the one experimenting with that.
I wish Ducati take inspiration from the sport classic and incorporate it into the scrambler platform.

They should just rerelease the sport classic.
im in ! my dream bike would be my current bike which is a triumph street scrambler ive had a custom pie cut exhaust fitted from hitchcox, to make make it more custom i would swap the tank for the larger t120 one, upgrape the suspension to some ohlins for more travel, swap the bars out for some more 60s styled bonneville ones and put some nice knobbly conti tkc80s and ride to wheels and waves in biarritz and race in the el rollo dirt track event

I'm IN Base Bike: Ducati 999R Dream Ultimate Custom Bike: Done up by deBolex
I think the wings are for homologation purposes on the KTM. I’m pretty sure they plan on going world super sport racing with it.
I have my dream R9t but love a Ducati debolex retro
I guess the Ducati scrambler will propably be based on their singel cylinder.
How about after market winglets/front spoiler Honda CB750 Hornet Yes you can get wingless for £58, total bargain 😅
Wonder if the scrambler raced and filmed a Baja recently has something to do with new model
Just another awesome episode, keep up with great work and greetings from Slovenia. Also when is Husqvarna Svarpilen 801 first ride coming 😊❤
I’m in. My dream bike I’d take a Triumph street triple RS and just change the exhaust and do a personal colour scheme, not much changed but I believe it’s pretty damn good as it is, unless one of those Aprilia wings could be fitted.. 🤔 I’m kidding about the last part of course 😂
Single cylinder Scrambler
I do not think that describing the KTM 990 RC R to the track bike made by Kramer is a fair comparison. It is more like a sport bike version of the Superduke 990. The RC8C (made by Kramer) is a totally different bike - frame, sub-frame, etc. -- even the engine is different, the Kramer / KTM on the race bike being modded significantly from the stock bike. I think the Kramer made track bike prepared the market for the KTM 990 RC R, but that's about as far as I'd go.
i want the rc as trackbike
dream bike kawsaki zzr1400 - customised into a stripped back realxed riding postion motorcycle.
Hello from New Zealand! As much as I'd love to go to a bike show it's probably a stretch to enter the competition 😅. In terms of a custom bike tho, I'd really love to take a smaller 3 cylinder engine ( perhaps the Yamaha CP3 or Triumph speed triple) and turn it into a smaller rocket 3 with more sporty handling like a Diavle. Aesthetically I'd lean toward a XSR 900 and CB1000r style because I love the look of the modern retro bikes. Love the content you two put out, keep up the great work! NZ represent 💪🇳🇿
I'm pretty tired of the scrambler name missuse these manufacturers have been on as of late. The scrambler ducati is using is a play on style rather than moto type. What ducati really needs to do is bring back the Sports Classic for a 1 year run. I'd snatch one up really quick.

Not to toot my own horn but I was kind of spot on with this given today's reveal. Their 60s cafe inspired prototype.
Tell me Ducati is struggling to sell those scramblers without telling me they are, by having to introduce additional interest in the brand. 😆
I only like the classic looking Ducati's from the 70's to 90's. The others look like plastic toys with little character.
Winglets are gay
