There's been a lot of buzz about this, so I'm glad to get a proper look.

I appreciate the detailed look at the deluxe set. I have been a fan of the original Mothership and would like to hear more about your exploration of the new version. Cheers!

It'd be cool to see the modules reviewed or quickly summarized in another video. Just played Ypsilon 14 and had a ton of fun!

Unconfirmed Contact Reports can be very useful as a guideline how to *steal* horrors from other sources. Several of the presented monsters and threats are directly riffing on Alien, Predator, the Thing, Sand Worm, SCPs, etc, etc. If running monsters directly from the reports you also get a lot of flavor to effortlessly throw at your players as handouts.

Thanks for covering this. I had some interest in the game. Playing Coriolis currently but was curious. Might have to check it out

How do you like Coriolis? I saw the new edition on kickstarter, but ultimately I have enough systems to try out for now.

@@Earthmote I really really like the factions / art style / “world” of the Third Horizon. Different and very cool. Feels like Dune mixed with Traveller with an Arabic theme. It uses the Mutant Year Zero engine / mechanics. So some crunch, but very fluid. All in all I like what Free League does as a publisher.

@@Earthmote They do a lot of “licensed material “ but this original setting is new to me. They have what - Alien , Blade runner , and Walking Dead and even Dune ? they do good with that - but I like what they did with Coriolis and the lore. And I’m a warhammer 40k lore guy so , kudos to them I guess ? 😂😂

This set looks great! Had no idea it was quite this good. As a fan of the Pathfinder boxes those standees are great, how's the thickness on the stock for those? Into the ship designs, too. I tend to bounce off of games with classes when they're set in a future especially, but I guess the classes in this game are relatively minor aspects, mainly starting skills and saves and the fear response. Curious how this compares to Traveller. I guess it's hard to compare the two, but if you were aiming for a certain type of game, which might one choose sort of thing

It’s really disappointing that the devs are actually not nice people and even has some of their staff try to cancel people.

This totally was off my radar. What’s the context? They definitely seem to be part of the “holier than though” OSR scene. As opposed to the trad grognard. Didn’t know there was drama though.

@@japandave3871fun. Maybe if you just put the name of who they were attempting to cancel I can look it up. I tried just looking up the two main guys I know. Didn’t see anything. I stay off Twitter for RPGs though, it’s kind of a hellscape. So I’m sure that’s why it totally went unnoticed for me. It’s a shame bc the interviews Sean does are typically really good and useful for running games. I can definitely separate art from artist, but normally bail if it becomes too entrenched in the work. The indie scene is so scummy with pressure to conform, so it doesn’t totally shock me. They build up their favored sons and tear down others on a whim.
