I was sitting in my chair getting all tensed up. Then after he finished the lift I took a big breath and my muscles felt normal again. Damn, I witnessed a lot of HEAVY lifts on KZread, but never felt so involved in the lift like that.

The most I've actually done is 256kg but that was 8 months ago. Now I think I can do around 280kg. But yeah 400 is crazy that's what I'd leg press which is scary.

Really depends in the day. My max on bench is 250. And some days I'll try 225 and it feels like butter and other days 185 feels heavier than 225

Anyone else noticed how this guy grips the bar? It's a thumbless grip with only 3 fingers wrapped around the top, and the pinky finger is pressed underneath the bar. Never seen anything like that.

I believe it’s called a talon grip. There’s a few lifters I’ve seen use it (joe Sullivan, Pete Rubish etc.) helps when you don’t have the wrist or shoulder mobility to take a full grip.

Mobility increases significantly and the stress on the bicep/shoulder is reduced. Lifters suffering from tendinitis often switch to this grip. Done it myself.
