They’re interesting but the problem is once they start getting old they can’t do shit cause unorthodox fighters heavily rely on reflexes. Hence why such an amazing fighter like Roy jones jr and prince naseem got fucked up. But guys like betrebiev and canelo are still able to fight despite being old. Cause they have a good grasp of basic boxing fundamentals and that can help you have an extremely long career

@@bradley8258 I wholeheartedly agree, the only awkward fighter who got better as they aged that I can think of is Jersey Joe and even he was brutally knocked out twice in the end. I have an affinity for unorthodox/awkward fighters because my style has always been awkward but you are correct, at some point you’re gonna need to rely on the basics.

You'd absolutely never train anyone to fight like any of them ever, but they all made it work. Multiple time world champions, Hall of Famers and the best featherweight in the world right now.

Where Manny Pacquiao???? The Pacman can throw from all angles even though he's a southpaw.

Pernell is more of a counter puncher, Augustus doesn’t have the record (although he was robbed in most of his losses or draws)

Well, Unorthodox means untraditional or different. Southpaws are not considered unorthodox simply because they're just left handed fighters who followed the same concept as orthodox.

They pick and choose when to call fighters unorthodox or unskilled. They say Rolly and Wilder are unskilled but call these other guys unorthodox.

Gervonta Davis said it best, rolly isn't an awkward fighter he's just a dumbass fighter. These guys are actually skilled with awkward styles.

Wilder is not unorthodox. Anyone can fight like him, NO one (except maybe beterbeiv) can punch like him.

Every time I hear that woman commentator I switch off.

Ali’s style was unique. Sloppy form but very fast and quick. Left his chin exposed a lot but was very good at punch placement
