Maidana/broner was my favourite.

The shot that cuts Ortiz's right eye, left hook from Maidana at 9:09 is insane, even more insane is that Ortiz ate it and kept going. That nuclear bomb would send any of us to heaven. What a fight!

ortiz puede ser un gran boxeador si sabe controlar su energía. en el 5 asalto estaba fundido. por otro lado, maidana demuestra que es un peleador de raza aguantando los 3 primeros asaltos que fueron muy duros para el. un primer asalto épico.

Good observation, I agree! Ortiz is a good discipline fighter, he just ran out of gas a took quite a few blows. Even Maidana went down a couple times, which is pretty rare.

Marcos Maidana is excellent boxer and hard puncher,too!

Against Ortiz, Maidana was still extremely crude, he did not even know how to throw a single jab, dis not have any défense apart from à high guard , he did not have any footwork whatsoever : Ortiz was miles ahead skill wise , just like Khan was later on but the first Quit when he felt the Argentine was the Better Fighter , had more greed and punching power , Ortiz skills despite superior never had Marcos Maidana discouraged ... Khan almost got knocked out later in the fight and it did tarnish his vastly superior abilities both in skills and athleticism ... Had Marcos Maidana learned sooner how to be more patient and learn how to Box like Garcia taught him , i can assure you Khan would have been finished , and i had Maidana over Thurman : Thurman was among my very favourite but despite him being more refined and able to outbox good vétérans, i do believe Maidana would have been able to tore his body just like Porter, Lopez, Pacquiao and Collazo did : Marcos hit harder than all of them and if B Opposition ( Collazo, Lopez ) did hurt him , i definitely see Maidana having him down .. Both Maidana and Thurman were beatable, but Marcos had a special Heart/Greed/Anger ..

Y por lo que es de lo de luchar como visistante, muchos Argentinos lo hicieron antes y despues : Victor Emilio Galindez peleo en Johannesbourg, Carlos Monzon en Europa ya sea Monte Carlo, Italia, Dinamarca, Francia ; Eduardo Lausse lo hizo en Estados Unidos etc .. Sergio Martinez lo hizo en Europa y Estados Unidos como el Chino etc .. hay un monton ! y despues del Chino Maidana pues, lo hizo Brian Castaño en Francia para defender SU titulo .. Enfin, yo no dije nada malo sobre el Chino, era nuestro bixeador actual favorito à Mi y Mi Abuela ❤️

Argentina históricamente a dado muy buenos boxeadores, pero yo considero que Maidana debe estar entre los tres Mejores y a la vez entre los grandes boxeadores del Mundo.❤❤❤

He strikes when his feet aren't set. He lunges from far off, wildly. He pays no attention to his feet. He doesn't respect the old theory of range; he cares nothing about it. And it works for him, and I know it. But when I said unskilled, I meant unskilled.

Garcia gave him a excellent jab and got him to set up his right hand and right hand counters off of his jab. Even later in his career though if his new boxing skills were not working he would throw them out of the window and brawl.

Everyone would fall asleep during boxing matches. They literally would have no audience. Thank heavens that chicken Floyd is the exception and not the rule/norm.

Every fighter is different and no matter how hard they try to imitate another fighter’s style it just won’t work yea a style could be similar together another but a fighter won’t use a certain style how another fighter uses it. The main objective of boxing is to hit and not be hit but not every fighter can hit and not be hit like Floyd was able to that’s why the hit and not be hit rule was never mainly implemented
