It makes sense how Jimmy knew about The Townies hideout in the beta, because in The Gym Is Burning, you have to chase the pyromaniac and he goes there and then fights you.

idk why they removed an important detail like that, but i guess it seems like there wasnt enough time left to fully polish bully given all the unused content left behind and it might had been a miracle that it came out in the first place.

The anarchist symbols make a lot of sense if you think about that there were supposed to be punks in the game.

Yea it’s kinda dumb how she is. I guess it’s because the devs just correlated her respect toward Jimmy with the townies respect

Another detail about Gurney in Complete Mayhem, he's the only townie who runs STRAIGHT for the Girls Dorm, so it does kinda still line up with his dialogue about girls. And since he is still hostile toward Jimmy in that mission despite having 100 respect with townies, it kinda shows off detail how he is more a psychopath who's only helping Jimmy because Edgar said so.

The townies are tough, especially when there is 17 or more ganging up on you.

I know they’re not a clique but I feel the Bullworth faculty were quite underused as well, since classes can completed fairly early in the story and staff rarely appear in free roam at all. I think the staff could have been used for way more side missions or even assigning Jimmy detention tasks. Are you doing to do an analysis on the other cliques as well?

@@bobheld7940 I think in beta clint's mission was like rudy the red nosed santa's mission and Its suppost to be like this 1.mailbox armagedon 2.the collector 3.making a mark(because in beta clint play a little role in this mission and be friendly with jimmy) thats what I think

Bullies are also underused clique. they never appear in the main story after Chapter 1.

im honestly suprised that a townie like Duncan (or any townie honestly) would be afraid of a bully. really the bullies are technically the weakest group and the townies are the strongest. Duncan should have easily whooped Davis

I'm pretty sure Duncan was a nerd when he was a student in Bullworth since he mentioned the Gremlins game. But then dropped out from school due to constant bullying, particularly from Davis and he'd gone crazy

I don't think he's afraid of that bullies anymore. More like he really have a hatred to them after he dropped out

I kinda wish they made a chapter where Gary joins the townies clique and convinces them to turn of Jimmy. It would give the townies more screen time and we could maybe get to see a little bit of every other clique in that chapter. I feel like Pete and Russell will be at their peak in this chapter because they're Jimmy's closest allies and it will also take place during the summer, maybe Jimmy could connect with his new step father in the first couple of missions before Gary starts raining havoc.

There definitely should have been more focus put on Zoe considering she's basically Jimmy's 'best girl' who he actually likes, and isn't just a stepping stone like the other Bullworth girls. Pinky is one of my favourite girls cause we actually spend time with her and she approaches Jimmy who she actually likes and cheers him on during boxing. And adding the fact you go on an actual date with her, she truly feels like a girlfriend to Jimmy. Zoe definitely should have gotten more missions and screentime than Pinky considering how much Jimmy likes her.

being completely honest, if Gurney in free roam was as dangerous as he was in The Gym is Burning, I can just imagine him being the leader of the Townies. Just imagine Gurney as a very dangerous and psychopathic character, leading a gang of vicious criminal kids that hate the Bullworth kids, maybe then the Townies could've been really fantastic antagonists

frankly I can think of the perfect way to introduce Edgar as the townie leader: during the mission 'preppies vandalized' after Jimmy takes the photo of the burning trophies, there could have been a cutscene where Edgar and a few other townies find Jimmy at his spot on the docks; Edgar would introduce himself and then threaten Jimmy in a typical townie fashion before sicking his townie friends on Jimmy and fleeing because 'some snot nosed school kid ain't worth his time', this would lead to Jimmy having to fight his way out of the docks and he'd find out who Edgar was before confronting him at the plant.

By looking. Bully has an insane amount of cut content and a lot of it wasn't discovered until recent times, because it was hard to find.

The Townies are one of my favorite cliques, along with the Bullies and Jocks.

Pretty interesting all this stuff about the characters. Didn't know majority of this stuff. Duncan and Davis is quite the sad and more realistic one; Duncan probably hating the school, due to Duncan being a victim of bullying from Davis.

Despite how little is known about it I did like the idea of clentry (Clint Henry) and Jimmy doing crimes together and it could have been a great side story like they could have had to escape police after stealing a car or something I know it ain't ever gonna change cos this game is old but I still think that a side quest like that would have been awesome

I actually like the Townies' personalities in free roam gameplay more than in the story/missions. Clint isn't just a deranged skinhead in his quotes; he's still mean and violent, but he shows a more wisecracking, con artist schemer vibe when you hear his quotes in-game. Same goes for Jerry, Leon, Gurney etc. It's a lot more interesting than just them being the crazy clique in my opinion.

It's probably because of the big changes they went through in the beta. Even the bullies don't play a major role in the story outside of chapter 1

So apparently there's a minor Bully reference on the new RDR Online update. One of the people you need to catch during the Bounty Hunting missions is named "Meredith Hopkins". This isn't anything major but it's interesting to see how during a time of Bully 2 hype R* decided to give a fugitive not only the main character's last name but in the description it said she shot a boy for trespassing. This may be reaching idk what do you think?

Zoe is actually seen in free roam.. Chapter III Because of a winter attire around Blue Skies. (Obviously you can't enter do to a road jam). And she is around Blue Skies just after her missions... The problem is it's a very "delicate" small window of time. Like before Complete Mayhem. Was Otto possibly the one who was flirting with Lola?

An odd fact is that even if you mod the townie outfit of Zoe to free roam with ide, in chapter 6, something unknown prevents her from spawning (same with Hattrick). Doesn't happen with anyone else apart from these two.

Really interesting stuff. Would be great If you could maybe do one with the Bullies, a non-clique in many ways.

Very good video, but the only thing I found was wrong is when you said "Zoe appears after the story is complete. I've seen Zoe talking to other Townies after the mission "Revenge on Mr. Burton" is complete.

Is there any known reason as to why Rockstar split the planned Punks clique into the Bullies and Townies, two underdeveloped cliques that play little to no role in the game compared to the others? Considering that the Townies have a hideout, a female member and even a school dodgeball team (things the Bullies lack), it seems like it was a last minute decision made late in development and the Bullies were added to pad the game and make use of extra characters like Russell.

Yes, but they’re still used throughout the course of the story. Russell becomes Jimmy’s right hand man. Every clique is in a way underused, but the bullies were actually more involved than the others

i do agree with this, plus townies are my overall favorite clique

I feel like if the Townies had little side missions in the previous chapters than they could've been better. Especially if we saw Bullworth students, especially the Bullies and the Greasers who torment the Townies the most, were shown to treat them horribly, then we probably would get more insight to why they did what they did in Chapter 5.

I think Edgar means his prospects are limited due to not attending Bullworth Academy and he'll be stuck in his part of the Bullworth town for life more figuratively than literally.

Chapter 5 should’ve been broken up into two chapters, because it feels like there was a lot to cover in it, the sudden introduction of the Townies being one such thing.

You can meet Edgar before you even complete The Setup. Once you complete Gym 5 you can play dodgeball against The Preppies Greasers Jocks and Townies and Edgar is one of the Townies. That's it

Because Townies aren't a gang/clique they're all just street kids drop outs. It could be punks, hip hop, thugs, skaters or whatever outsider. they have all different personalities. Unlike the jocks who obviously all athletics, the nerds who like video games and D&D, Preps the rich kids and Greasers who just cares about cars and hair gel. Townies are like bullies they're everywhere except bullies are studying and townies are drop outs.
