This is genuinely insensitive statement to make . Does mental health not matter to you ? Her family for years and close friends knew she struggled with depression. Many celebs especially in the public eye bide their real feelings . So quick to say she was killed . When I’m life people are unhappy . And sacrifice for what ? Give a logical reason.. her bags would’ve inevitable been bought even more when she died . And which it it did .. so?

The fact that people still associate things like wealth and success with happiness is sad. Mental illness doesn’t just go away because you have a bunch of material things, or you’re famous. In fact, success and fame often triggers mental illness given the intensity of scrutiny your life is now under, and the hard work it takes to be that successful. There’s a reason most overachievers suffer from anxiety and depression. For the people in the comments, the note that said “ask daddy” most likely meant that she wanted her father to explain it was mental illness and not the child’s fault. She didn’t blame her husband. He didn’t kill her or sacrifice her. Her own sister said she was suffering for a long time, and it wasn’t unexpected that this could happen. You cannot rationalize mental illness, it’s a disease. I pray that wherever Kate is, she’s at peace. And I pray for her loved ones, especially her baby girl. 🙏🏾

If you're thinking scarf like bandana then yea it seems impossible. But you gotta think scarf like those that can be used as head wraps, or fashion pieces as they are a lot longer. Depending on the position they are sitting or kneeling in, it is def possible.

Just hope if that would ever happen to you then you will have people that speak for you and care about more than ur pockets. Sandra Bland? Possible not likely. Prince, set up. Kendrick Johnson=cover up. Jeffrey Bordain=Silenced. Idk Ms Kate Spade, but there is most definitely more to this story. Not from the doorknob, and nobody broke their neck falling in a mat. Common sense. Scarf and gloves. As if she's a toddler that accidently selfgag w/their mothers scarf on a door or a plastic bag. She didn't do it.

I am open with those close to me about my mental health , so there would be no guessing that, that's not an option for me. All the other cases you mentioned I do not believe were suicides! I am single I've been married and don't particularly like it but women need to really have another game plan other than fixated on a man it just shows you all of her talent all of her money did not give her happiness without having peace with God in your life everything is a waste of time

The fixation isn't men its loneliness. God is with us in spirit not the physical. Especially with people that battle mental illness its takes more healthy physical connections and support for them to remain healthy and feel loved because mentally at times they aren't strong enough. Any issues in their lives can throw them off. Its not so much as the man but its the filling of a void and physical support.

Seems, moral support is essential whenever an individual is going through a major life change, divorce/the death of a loved one/career deterioration, etc. There are enough examples of individuals crumbling to the point of death during such times/experiences. Unclear how much support she had, and all of the factors involved in her suicide death, it seems, after it already happened things clearer, even so, the notion she should have been kept busy with shared company for a year, at least, to ensure she was emotionally stable. It also seems suspicious as to what exactly was happening with her business, her very lucrative business, as though some people had greed based motives without a regard to care, of what she established, what she worked so hard for, what she put her name on. An unfortunate loss to the fashion world, another example of why the surround of human friendliness and friendly encouraging love is essential because experiences and lurkers try to break people. She should not have come to such an end of life, she seemed sweet, smart, creative, a decent woman.

Any parent who takes her/his own life and leaves her/his minor kids alone is in my eyes selfish. I’m sorry but I’ve grown up with mentally ill mother who often talked about how she doesn’t want to live and go on anymore, when I was still a little girl, I always comforted her, but all that stuff changed me, I was emotionally different to other kids, I was much more empathetic, but also had a dark side. I was sad often. I even wrote a note how I don’t want to love anymore when I was 7 years old! Seeing her dealing with so many issues definitely affected me in many ways. I’m sure she didn’t mean to hurt me, but her actions certainly did. I was often in fear that she will take her own life. My point is, if you’re having children you have to be strong for them and whatever bothers you comes second place. It’s just how it is. You are responsible for a human being for god’s sake! You have to fake it if you can’t do it otherwise. I know mental illness is no joke, but if you really can’t do it by yourself ask for help! I’m so thankful for my grandma, she helped me so much in my life, and she’s still helping me a lot, even though I’m all grown up now. I’m 27 years old, i am a functioning adult. But I will never forget my mom and her struggles. We rarely talk now. But I talk every day with my grandma. Parents, don’t be selfish, put your kids first or never have them! Suicide is a cowardly act in my eyes. Whatever problems you’re facing you can get over them! You can, better believe it. There is always hope. ❤️

You didn’t speak of your father, so I assume he wasn’t around? Is there a reason you place all the blame on your mom? Just FYI, mental illness is not something one can get over or push aside. If it were that simple, then nobody would be mentally ill. There’d be no need for medications, hospitals, therapy, psychology, psychiatry, etc. It’s not something you choose. And often times, it first manifests after a woman gives birth, especially if she’s a single parent. PPD can last for years untreated. And many don’t even know that’s what they’re suffering from. It’s not just an emotional or a situational thing, it’s biological. To think someone who is in literal pain, someone whose brain and body are betraying them, is “selfish”, is to belittle mental health altogether. I don’t know your mom’s situation, but no two people are the same. You cannot place everyone who takes their own lives into the same category. I suffer from anxiety and depression, and I can tell you that when you’re having those thoughts, your thinking becomes illogical and warped and your brain will have you believe that the world, especially your loved ones, are better off without you. You feel like a burden, and asking for help just doesn’t seem possible. It’s a very isolating disease. It’s not a switch you can turn on and off. I would never ever want to leave my child in this world alone, so I fight those demons hard. I don’t let him see my pain. However, some are (for lack of a better word) stronger than others. And at some point, carrying what feels like the weight of the world on your shoulders becomes too much to bare. Even with help, medication and therapy can only do so much. And some anti-depressants put you at higher risk for taking your own life. I implore you to do your research. Find out more about how your mom came to be mentally ill. That’s not to say how you felt or what you went through doesn’t matter, because it does. You didn’t deserve any of what you went through. Neither did your mother if she was truly mentally ill. Unfortunately, mental illness doesn’t just hurt the person it’s attacking, it hurts everyone around them as well.
