My main issue is with the security guard who completely disregarded the student who told him someone was bleeding in the bathroom. How the hell do you just brush something like that off and not even go check? Even if it’s a paper cut you still need to go see what’s going on cause kids don’t just say that.

I disagree with your second part, young boys are known to say obnoxious/ridiculous stuff just for the hell of it. But regardless you're right; the fact that the security guard didn't even bother to check, especially since it's his job, is ridiculous.

To be fair, if I was told someone was bleeding in the school restroom I would think that it was someone with a bloody nose. My 14 years get nose bleeds so easy it's ridiculous. It would have elicited a different response if they said someone was unconscious or lying of the floor in their blood. Specificity matters but yes it would have been best if the guard checked anyway.

Probably the same reason cops stood around doing nothing while kids where being massacred in Texas, or when another school security guard in Florida ran away while the students he was hired to protect were being killed. The barrel of apples rotted a long time ago.

I might get hate for this but I understand where the guard is coming from, this is middle school and kids tend to prank or disrespect people that are in charge or protect the school so the guard could have just been used to these kids playing these type of games but he checked the bathroom after he saw the panic on the kids face.

As a teacher, the guard’s response to a student telling him there was someone bleeding in the bathroom absolutely devastated me. Even if you think a kid is messing around or pulling a prank, if someone says a kid might be bleeding, you need to check in on the kid! He clearly does not prioritize student safety and I hope he no longer works in schools.

Yes his calm matter of fact demeanor is chill inducing. Its unconscionable that a child has absolutely no empathy, sympathy, or heart. The way he talks so calmly like he's inviting his friends to a sleepover not inviting them to be murdered. I wonder if his parents and siblings had an inkling of an idea of what he's capable of. There had to be red flags for how uncaring his demeanor is.

I was around his age when I legit tried to kill someone. Fortunately, it didn't work. I had no plan, no story worked out. I was just mad. And totally oblivious to how big a deal it would have been. For anyone curious about the circumstances, my parents had adopted a child and my whole world went to shit. She was about 6 years younger than me. One day I totally lost my temper and tried to smother her with a pillow. She fought like a wildcat, and it wasn't as fast and easy as in the movies. To this day, I don't think she knows I was trying to kill her that day. I really don't think kids at that age can really grasp the seriousness of violent crime. This kid reminds me of that guy who killed his college classmate for no reason. His psychologist said out of his 200 cases, he was the most dangerous. I do think this kid was just as dangerous- maybe it's the having no reason part that's so... off.
