To be honest those cops were probably worried about your safety. People drown in Lake Michigan shores around Chicago every summer. Just a few weeks ago a firefighter died searching for a guy in the river.

Love seeing the collaboration and urban fishing. I live in Knoxville and fish/kayak/and swim in the river here..

I always imagined that the bottom in the playpen is carpeted with sunglasses, that spot is crazy crowded all summer long. We got stopped once in the river right by the lock by the Coast Guard, for an inspection. The Coast Guard boat had a machine gun mounted on the front. They just checked out safety equipment and such and let us on our way.
