MANY times I direct my customers to watch your channel and I have quoted you many times as well. Where sales and service always seem to never see eye to eye, you guys do it right... Good channel!

    Are there any slide-in ovens that are quiet, or quieter than others? I have a 10-year-old Kenmore Elite oven (I moved in 2 years ago) that is loud during the pre-heating cycle. The same for convection cooking, only the fans stay on the entire time. I can even hear it upstairs. When I put my dB meter a foot in front of the oven door, I get reading of 66. I was high on the Frigidaire GCFE3060BF, but I read a review that sounded exactly like my loud Kenmore. I am tempted to try the Hisense HFE3501CPS oven in a large part because of the 2-year warranty. My fear is buying a new oven only to find it is also loud.

    We bought an LG refrigerator, lasted 3yrs 5 months, bad compressor. L G gives lousy customer service. They gave us the run a round for a month. They told us they had no service people in our area for the repair. Wouldn't even give the part to our repairman we called to fix it. Complained to Lowe's and they gave us another refrigerator. L G comes from Korea. Googled and they had just settled a large lawsuit for bad refrigerator compressors. Never will buy another of their products!

    Hello Y’ale, My family finally found a new home and are moving in December. We just got back from buying new appliances: GE55-series washer and dryer in white -we don’t think we need steam clean or the automatic dispenser. Our laundry room is mostly white. LG 260-series fridge LG 6333 range LG 5552 dishwasher -all in black stainless. We chose LG because other mfrs either don’t make all these in black stainless, or we would have had to wait weeks-months for them. Hoping you all will have a great holiday season ahead.

    I have heard a lot of stories of lg appliances going bad first hand. I dont believe the number one rating. Has you given number one to miele or maytag or speed queen. No problems. Maybe your sales numbers are skewed. Also, you may have missed the severity of the failures. Eg if LGs failed completely just after warranty and other brands had some minor issues like not levelled.

  • @YaleAppliance1

    @YaleAppliance1

    Жыл бұрын

    Of course you have...But they sell millions of appliances in the US. I don't have an opinion of one brand or the others and report the numbers objectively. Unlike anyone else, I have to fix these products in warranty at a loss (why nobody does service) which is the reason we carry the fewest brands out of any appliance store in our area. We have performed over 100,000 service calls in less than three years. These numbers are as objective as it gets.

    I have the new model induction Wolf range that was delivered last January. I had a service call in due to the certified Wolf installers pushing the unit into its location, they must’ve caught the corner of the countertop pushing it in or banged it against the wall, they cracked the top. I noticed it a week later. Wolf replaced the induction glass top with no hesitation but yes, I’d imagine these things that have nothing to do with the reliability of the model go towards the number of service calls. Too bad the reliability and installation problems can’t be separated when doing these evaluations to get the true reliability factors in there but I understand what you’re saying.

    LG may be moving up on the reliability scale but not in build quality. My less than five year old dishwasher has cracks all over the control panel and lcd that don’t light on the timer. The stove had to have the whole control board replaced. And this week the fridge’s water dispenser broke dropping little bits of plastic and springs off. It’s currently held together with packing tape because I’m sure it will involve a door replacement to repair. Never again will I buy korean appliances.

    I had an LG french door frig that failed three months before the warranty was over. They sent a repair guy who worked on it for 3 hours and finally gave up and finally ordered a new compressor; he stated it was leaking freon. Three weeks later he installed the new compressor and guess what, it still leaked. He leak checked the frig for three hours and finally gave up. He stated the leak was somewhere in the freon distribution in the body of the fridge and couldn't fix it without disassembling it entirely thus it was unrepairable. I spent the next five months fighting with LG to replace the fridge but they stalled by slowly escalating my problem through three levels of "customer service". I finally gave up having wasted nine months of time with LG. The bottom line is, DO NOT PURCHASE LG, THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!

We don't sell known problem brands because we dont want our repair people facing legit angry customers. Lastly of the 20 brands we sell, not all or even most will make the list. Sales Vs Service figures is the fairest measure on the internet. There are other "repair" videos with 1 or 2 people doing repairs versus our 34 doing 35,000.

The repair was quoted to cost more than a new one, so we purchased Maytag Pro W/D and love them. We also had a Samsung side by side fridge and have had nothing but problems - the door ice maker icing up, throws ice on the floor, and then just stops working. The refrigerator side has needed several temp sensors as it slowly stops keeping cool under 40 degrees and your food ends up spoiled. Will never own a Samsung again.
