My favorite part of all these tests, is how upset people get over them. If their phone of choice loses (especially samsung owners of which I am one s23 ultra) the tests are rigged. The only folks who don't seem to care are Pixel people cause they never win, always get the smoothest android experience, the best AI features and pay less. These tests are really pointless for Apple people because using a XS max is just as smooth on ios as a current 14 pro max (own them both and day to day things can't tell a difference). A better test would be who has the best apps, that's what your phone does anyways, open and run apps.

As a Pixel owner myself, I completely agree. Even though our Tensor chip isn't the best performer numbers wise, it is the smoothest experience on the Android side in my humble opinion. I'm happy and grateful for the Pixel Series.

Watching all these high end smartphones while rocking a 4+ year old OnePlus 6T on LineageOS 20 (Android 13). While battery life is making me consider upgrading, the fluidity and features of Android 13 plus the custom dev support keeping this phone alive nearly 2 years after EOL is what really keeps me hooked on Android. Sadly the only real vendor that has good dev support on Android these days is the Pixel which compromises a lot on power, but it's a solid choice all things considered especially in this niche use case. Overall I have no problems with either OS as I daily an iPad Pro, but Android is my personal choice when it comes to smartphones.

Very nice content, thanks! Please do one with last gen chips! I'd like to see the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 vs. Tensor G1 vs. the A15 bionic. then if you could compare the last gen results to current gen results in this video, that would be so awesome! Btw, I see very little real-world speed difference between the speed of my iPhone 14 Plus (A15), Pixel 7 Pro (Tensor G2), and Motorola Edge+ 2022 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1). They all seem nice and snappy. But then again, I'm not doing anything intense on them. What I do notice, however, is the higher refresh displays on the Pixel (120hz) and Motorola (144hz) vs. 60hz on the 14 Plus. I also notice the better cameras and sound quality on the Pixel 7 and iPhone 14 Plus vs. the Motorola Edge+. Still, the screen of the 14 Plus doesn't necessarily look bad, just like the Motorola doesn't necessarily sound bad. You'll just notice where one is improved over the other in a given area.

It is definitely a big step forward compared to the Exynos Chip, but Samsung did a big mistake with overclocking the 8 Gen 2 which isn't the best in maintaining low temperatures over longer times of high workloads and not even using a cooling as efficient as Vivo did for the standard 8 Gen 2. It was clear that it will have problems with thermal throttling from the moment they announced that they use a special overclocked version. And maximum performance at the same time is only slightly above the standard 8 Gen 2 so it doesn't even bring a significant advantage at that point. 56% stability in the Wildlife extreme stress test which is only 20 minutes long is very bad and will result in a very high drop in framerate while playing graphic intensive games for example. Vivo even used a very big vc cooling to achieve a good stability of around 85% but on the standard 8 Gen 2 and that's barely enough to keep the framerate high over a long period of time!

Amazing comparison. Better than every other one I've seen so far and more detailed. Good balance between synthetic benchmarks and real world tests. I think it's really funny, that at the moment Samsung announced that they use a overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and only stating that they use a better cooling system but not going into detail I knew this will be a failure. The flagship chips from Qualcomm aren't known for there stability over longer periods of high workload, but for having problems with thermal throttling. The 8 Gen 2 might not be as bad as the 8 Gen 1 but still not good compared to the latest Mediathek Dimensity chips for example which are slightly lower in maximum performance but they have zero thermal throttling, reaching stabilities up to 99% in the 3D mark Wild extreme stress test. Xiaomi for example is at around 75% with the standard 8 Gen 2 in the 13 Pro and Vivo uses a very big cooling for the standard 8 Gen 2 to achieve around 86% stability and also to not have a significant thermal throttling in practical tests as for example playing games and therefore not having a drop in fps. The Xiaomi with its 75% stability in wildlife extreme stress test already has to much thermal throttling while playing graphic intensive games over longer time and therefore has a clear fps drop after a while. So who at Samsung fought it would be good to overclock it without using a very big cooling? 56% is embarrassing for a phone at this price point and I'm sure playing graphic intensive games for longer than 10 to 15 minutes is a horrible experience. And at the same time the maximum performance no matter if in benchmarks or real world scenarios is only slightly better or sometimes even worse, depending on how optimized an app is, so it doesn't really bring any significant benefits for short high performance tasks and therefore doesn't justify the big shortcomings in stability. Would have been nice to see the Mediatek Dimensity 9200 which Vivo uses in the X90 Pro because this is probably the best chip of all of them. But you probably don't have a X90 Pro available so far, so no problem, maybe redo it as soon as get your hands on a phone with that chip.

nice, the difference is negligible in real life but it's nice to see some improvement overall from the snapdragon side, but if you're one to just browse the web and watch a couple of videos on youtube and other streaming services, this shit is overkill. for gaming, it's a lot of perception it feels like oh, this is the best because benchmark and because people that are influencers, celebs and TV uses them...for me, get what works for you. Either or of any of those devices should be good for casual use. overkill but still. I have run emulators on my 8Gen1 and it's pretty awesome but I also have one of those "freezing fans" to help cool it down for long gaming. the s23 ultra looks pretty great but man, the price, is way above my budget. iPhones for me, would be nice if there were some form of "pro mode" to allow sideloading and stuff like that. albeit, the apple fanboys would hate it because they too, like typical fanboys of any brand, would support things blindly. I use samsung but recently i made a joke online about samsung copying Apple and some samsung fanboy got mad and called me an iSheep haha. hilarious. However, i'm really impressed with the battery life of the s23u, but i need real world test before i accept these "tests" because reviewers and such, have their own routines on their phones/tablets, and i have mine so it's really a give or take situation. I've seen some people blast through their iPhone battery in one day yet, on benchmark tests, they're like 2 days straight or some shit like that. anyone want to give me a loaner of either phones? haha.

Comparing Android vs Apple in these scenarios is a little bit useless. I know that there's nothing else you can do to compare cpus but even when running the same program they're doing different things comparing to each other since the same program made for Android is different from the one made for Apple. Different libraries used, different languages aswell as optimizations depending on the chipset and the os which is running under it. It's impossible to have a fair comparison, at the end of the day all we can do is appreciate our smartphones which can do things that 20 years ago we could only dream about to do on our phones!

And people still complain on iphone‘s ! That is why i love apple, they are good in all different scenarios! In performance they are since years on the top with the most powerfull processors and the Most important for me is that nobody can keep up with the battery life of the „pro max“ models! And then people say that they are to expensive.. i mean yeah, they are very expensive, but the high end android phones like the s23 ultra are almost the same price, but in comparison to them, apple make their own hardware like their chips and their own OS, which is, why they are perfectly optimized and iphones are faster overall! And another difference is, that iphones get minimum 5 years updates and they run smooth even after the 5 years! That was the point, why i switched from android to ios, because of their optimization! No freezing, no lagging, even after years it runs butter smooth! Android runs smooth when you buy it, but after time, they get slower and slower and after 2 years, they are slow as hell and freeze and BS like that! I was years against Apple and an extreme android fanboy, but after i switched to apple i understood, why so many people swear on apple and buy only iphones! And don‘t say it is because of the „android brand“ that i have bought in the past! 😅 i had samsung, lg, motorola, sony, xiaomi, redmi, oppo, one plus and a lot more! And only the high end models, and a few mid-end models aswell! A lot of my friends said to me „try this time and iphone and you will never go back“ even they knew, i hated apple since years! And what should i say… they were right! I mean, i like a lot of the newer things on android, like the foldables and overall they are a lot better in performance overall as they were in the past, but i will never switch to android again, because i know, that i would miss my iphone fast! Because of the battery life and then at the latest, when the first stuttering and lagging begin 😅
