This show requires great attention to detail, if you can’t comprehend German then you need the dubbed version so that your eyes are always fixated on the characters & visuals. Besides, the voice over for Noah was perfect, perhaps not the rest though

Any live action show should be watched with original voices. It's not even about how good the voice actors are, you just can't create the exact same sound and emotion of a real scene in your recording studio. It'll always sound dubbed.

Nice wordplay here: "Dein Schmerz hat dich geMACHT" (your pain MADE you who you are) aber er hat keine MACHT mehr über dich (but it has no POWER over you anymore) In german "made" and "power" is the same word so it's a nice wordplay by noah. Only realized it just now after 3 rewatches lol.

I mean, he thought he could change the future. He thought killing Helge would undo Mikkel disappearing. You've got to look at every scenario from every perspective. This is foreshadowed in episode 1 of season 1 when Jonas repeats a quote from his father; "good and evil are a question of perspective". Although what Ulrich did to Helge is evil you have to look at the motive behind why he did it. The same can be said for Noah and many other characters in the show. This is what makes Dark so good.

It's sad to think. Helge had such a horrible childhood. His father dies and his step mother is a cold, emotionless and soulless woman. Ulrich beats Helge with a rock and causes his facial scarring. Yet Noah is the closest thing to a father figure he has. Noah is a sadistic man but he almost treats Helge as if he were his son. Noah is my favorite character, especially after season 3. ❤

He’s such a tragic character. Beaten, traumatized, and left disabled as a child for crimes he hadn’t committed yet, then manipulated and lied to by Noah into committing those exact crimes. @@rahuloberoi9739 (First of all, sorry for my bad english) But that is only your opinion. Mine is different :-) We known the unknown was for a while the priest of Winden (he said that himself to Dorris). I assume he took a room @ Ernas, where he met Agnes (Noahs sister BTW) and got her pregnant!!! The text (said by Noah in this scene) does not match Jonas or Noahs philosophy and vision. Both Noah & Jonas wanted to change things. Jonas did not think all the misery was necessary (he wanted to prevent it). Also Noah did not think the kidnapping of Charlotte was necessary. Only Erit Lux wanted to keep things the way they were. It was very important to the unknown the misery happened . All those misery was not for nothing, it had a goal: his own existence. Please rewatch also the scene where Bernd Doppler is murdered. In that scene the writers reveal who was Noah talking about (in a brilliant way) for the viewers who were not able to figure it out themselves. The writers do this all the time through the series. In the same way (in the scene where the old blind Tanhaus is killed) they reveal who did write the letter to police officer Clausen.
