The Most Powerful Max For Live Device I Have (Opal)

In this video I'm exploring one of the most powerful Max For Live devices, Opal by ‪@ForsFM‬ ! Originally designed as a drum machine sequencer, this device goes way beyond. It's amzing for crafting mind-blowing basslines, intricate FM leads, metallic atmospheres, quirky noises, driving percussion loops and more. With its robust granular engine and sampling capabilities, it's all you need for building entire tracks!

Nice tutorial thanks! I have two issues when routing audio from opal to different tracks: - First when I print audio from let's say Gem to an audio track that is grouped with the main opal midi track, I can not hear only the audio track, I keep hearing the opal midi track going on and on when I press play. I don't really know how to fix this: soloing the audio track doesn't work. And I can't see what you mute/unmute on your screen because your camera is often on top of the mixer section. - When I try to export this as a preset in my user library it creates a copy of the opal.amxd file right underneath, which doesn't seem to be the case for you. How can I fix this? Many thanks

Hey, sorry about the camera blocking the channel! I think you need to solo the engine inside Opal. Second thing, I just dragged and dropped the group into my user library, simple as that. Hope this helps!

@@impulsecontrol I did. Problem is, that the OPAL System has the Randomization wizard built in in the sequencer only. If you use the Synth+Seq, no midi is let through to the synth engine. Tried so many ways. Would like to have my main melody notes coming from somewhere else (Stepic or Melody Sauce) AND use the "Surprise me" button.
