Hey Marco. Big fan here. Grew up in Hawaii although I had to leave for Chicago when I was 26. I'm impressed that you know the true history behind that song. I don't know any mainland Americans who know that song let alone the tragic history behind it.

Hi Marco, I love your channel and the lessons have changed the way I play Ukulele. I play Bass and guitar for years and just started the ukelele 7 months ago. You have been an amazing help to me. Thank you very much for all your help. A question; Could you please watch on KZread "Hawaiian Soul" by Troy Fernandez? A great way of fingerpicking and I have had trouble figuring it all out. Yes you did pronounce "Aloha 'Oe" perfectly. It is said Queen Lili'uokalani over heard a person with royal blood say she can't be in love with a commoner. She wrote Aloha 'Oe tributing that goodbye. Long story short, the insurrectionist turned British ships and pointed its guns into Honolulu and said they'll fire them into Honolulu if she didn't abdicate. They imprisoned her in her own Palace. So, they overthrew the Kingdom of Hawai'i to be illegally annexed to the United State.
