2003年ウクレレと出会い、シンガーソングライターAO AQUAとして活動を始める。
2014年よりハワイアンシンガー名をKeikoとし、2015年夏にフルアルバム『Kupulau』をリリース。
2016年ハワイのグラミー賞といわれる音楽賞、ナホクハノハノアワードの最優秀インターナショナルアルバム部門に『Kupulau』がノミネートされた。
映画音楽の挿入歌をハワイ語で書きおろすなど、オリジナル曲も多数。日本にとどまらず、本場ハワイでの演奏経験も豊富な実力派シンガーとして活動中。
ウクレレ講師としても人気があり、日本老舗のウクレレメーカーKIWAYAのk ukuleleアンバサダーをつとめるなど活動は多岐にわたる。

【Keiko】
Keiko has composed her original Japanese songs, released 4 Japanese CDs.
Her first full Hawaiian album "Kupulau" was nominated for the International Album category at Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award 2016.
Now she has her ʻukulele classes in Japan, teaches not only ʻukulele but vocal.
In 2019, she started a new band named ʻAlapaka, she sings Jazz standard numbers translated to Hawaiian language.

Lili'uokalani wrote this song when she was in prision by the U.S. government. Still to this day the Kingdom of Hawai'i is still alive and well. There is a Kingdom of Hawai'i in the U.N.. Many of the countries are questioning the U.S. government on their actions. The kingom is rising from the ashes and into the light. Slowly. You did a good job on this song Keiko. Sorry...but Princess Lili’uokalani wrote this song in 1878, many years before Annexation which occurred in 1898.

Absolutely beautiful rendition. Your voice is immaculate and this performance is powerfully moving in its simplicity and grace. This is beyond some ukelele lesson. I think it captures Queen Lili'uokalani's message in its purest essence, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this.

The First Nations on the Pacific Coast are going through the same as you in Hawaii. They actually got me into uke. I play a baritone and prefer to play songs in Hawaiian language rather than Americanized versions. I also play guitar and banjo, but keep going back to the uke, especially when I need mental healing. Good Job Keiko.
