I've been waiting years for this vid. I was there opening day of the park in I think 2004? It's the weirdest park. It takes awhile to figure out your lines to flow through it. I loved the challenge of the park. Being on a hill with elevation changes through the sections makes it tough to get back to where you started. That was always my goal. You need to bring Nigel, JD, and Andy Anderson here. Fun fact, I met Sean Penn and Robin Wright there while their son was skating. The were watching me skate the big bowl. Fun times!

Fun fact, the park was built by Ghilotti Construction, who work almost exclusively on roads/highways. There are some weird things with the shaping and transitions that probably has to do with them building it.

Red shirt guy and scooter kid are KILLING IT Dang, that other skate kid is awesome too!

As an older skater, I can tell you that most skateparks that were built in the last 10-15 years don't make sense to me. They have an expert level bowl that only a few skaters, mostly older guys like me, ever ride. The street sections get jammed up quickly. Unless it's a bigger park there are no mid-size transition sections to skate. Essentially, cities spend millions of dollars on a pyramid, a few ledges, and a few rails.
